isengrim didn't know what to make of these people. all he knew was, they slept where he slept, they shared a mom (?), and they looked relatively like himself. but yet, something sketchy was going on and he just knew it. these beings seemed to co-exist alongside him like they were his sibs, infiltrating themselves into his mother's graces. all he knew was, he wasn't getting any answers from mother herself, who seemed to always liked to pretend she didn't know what he was saying when his speech was totally coherent, duh. it frustrated him to the point where he began to visibly swell in the face and sulk in his own mini misery. it wasn't his fault that his verbal abilities were lacking!

pouting, he watched as one of Them departed the den when it was perfectly clear they were to stay put. baffled, he looked around, searching for someone, anyone to tattle to. when no such higher being was found, he picked himself up and stealthily crept along behind the brethren, so basically, galloping mouth-open behind the other through the snow like a total creep.

somewhere along the way, he found himself angry that the thing had dared to even leave. you couldn't just leave the den. right? it was one of those things you just didn't do without mom or dad. but the thing had done it, so he guessed he could too. but, he wanted to do it first! when he finally caught up to the other (tiny forelegs heaving himself up and over snowbanks with little success) he felt an overwhelming sense of triumph, something that he would seek to feel many times in his future.

with ni hesitation did he shove himself in front of the stranger, blocking any view she had previously been serenely gazing at with his wide-eyed chubby face. "wabut do hoo?" he pushed his nose in the others direction, eyes characteristically narrowed in display of his kid emotions. isengrim demanded to know exactly what she thought she was doing and what exactly was fun about it!
