Set around four to five hours after this thread – @Lapis & Lazuli

Disinterested in much of the south, stumbling across a more northern-like area struck her with a sudden—and highly unexpected—longing for home. Since having dispersed from TakKik Kunnâk, she’d not found many areas that bore even a snippet of resemblance to the home that she cherished. Yet, there in the region that had lured away from the north a distant relative, she’d found herself staring at an icy river. The various patches of floating ice ignited the playing of a memory, and then there within her mind flickered the various images of her first hunt. She’d been fairly young at the time, and hadn’t been allowed to truly participate, but, at the time, she’d been granted the necessary permissions to remain with the adults and observe their actions. She’d watched them move across the ice, fish, and even drag from the frigid waters the bodies of living seals, only to then kill and feast upon their fatty forms. One glance at the water and she knew that not a single seal would ever be found within its depths, but fish would be.

Daringly, the Inuk neared the water’s edge, right before lowering down a single paw and pressing it against a visible patch of ice—which cracked beneath what little weight had been applied. Frowning, Chulyin retracted her limb and peered through the nearly made hole, feeling a mixture of disappointment and excitement. On one hand, the ice was far too thin to support her weight, but, on the other, she’d given herself access to the fish that had surely been trapped below. With a stilled body and slowed breathing, she kept her eyes glued to the ice, watching and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.

They seemed to have come at a time when the land here was warming, and warming fast. In the North, and in Siberia, the land creaked towards warmth, like he did in the morning while Lazuli tried to rouse him. Even here, in this land that looked so much like the tundras they were born in, it felt so different. He wondered if this was enough for the coming northern pack, if the familiarity of sight rather than feeling would be enough to confirm their settlement. He humpfed, trotting forward ahead of his sister towards an icy river, thirsty. But a wolfen shape drew him away from thirst, the familiar, slender outline of a woman — a Arctic woman. His tongue lolled, now with some kind of familiar lust. He looked back at his sister, who shot him a withering glance at his mischevious eyes, but shrugged.

He ran forward, then slowed into a sneak ats he neared her, seeing the concentration that took hold of her face. He smirked as he tiptoed closer and closer before the dark Russian pounced, pushing the woman into the cold waters. Suna Sajuppilâk, Mannitotik?

She did not much like the warmer weather, but it looked enough like home for the Russian femme, so she begrudgingly accepted the climate, with no end of complaints muttered to herself and heard by her brother and smirked at. But she walked, following after her darker furred brother as they scouted the area.

Eventually, they spotted a river, ляпис's thirst again bringing him to the forefront. She wasn't as desperate, and trailed after him as usual, yawning loudly and without restrain. He finally saw something in the distance, the sister's eyes following after his gaze until he turned to her with a mischevious smirk on his face.

She allowed the prank, her outward scorn soon shifting into amusement as she watched his exaggerated prowling towards the somewhat familiar woman. She drew closer, a few lengths behind the man before he finally pounced. She giggled darkly, smirking. Вы мудак,

Muscles tensed, a streak of silver darting just within the limits of her peripheral. With painstakingly slow movements, the Inuk began to raise her head, preparing to lurch forward into the chilled waters. One second, two seconds—time dragged on and the winds shifted, alerting her to the unwelcome guests, but it had happened too late. Before she’d even a chance to react, the water that was once below her was then above her, body submerged. Although she was used to the cold, the suddenness of the connection left her stunned, the burning sensation in her lungs having been the only occurrence able to bring her back to reality. Forelimbs stretched out before her, reaching in the direction whence the light shone down through, then pulled back towards her abruptly. Following suit were her hind legs, which pushed against the water in order to propel her upwards, allowing her head to break through the liquid’s surface. The moment she felt the wind brushing through the sopping fur atop her crown the girl drew in a breath, greedily sucking in just as much oxygen as her lungs could contain. Exhaling, she scanned her surroundings, searching for the culprit and then spotting the duo onshore. Blinded by anger, she was unable to recognize them, and so they were greeted with a snarl after she’d paddled to shore and pulled herself back out and onto dry land.

Droplets of water rolled off her body and dripped down against the earth, the urge to shake herself free of the liquid having gone unanswered. Instead, her fiery gaze locked onto the darkest wolf, for his position had seemed to be the closest to her's; it was decided that he had committed the act against her and, though she had no concrete evidence, she proceeded with that assumption in mind. Ajaigâlunguna! declared the northerner, a growl intertwined with her voice. Akilettaulâttuk. She could dimly recall having heard him speak in her tongue whilst her head was still surrounded by the water, but even that would not save him. Such strong emotions were felt searing through her body, and yet, she hadn’t lunged towards the male. She merely glared, hot-headed, but not so terribly moronic that she believed herself capable of handling two wolves on her own. The other female’s presence was the only thing to keep the aggravated Apaata at bay.
