Atshen had been a mere shadow since he had returned with his expedition with Kove. With his Nemesis' task accomplished, and not much else to do, the child moved around with little purpose. He felt trapped within the web, caught up into the same routine-- frankly, Atshen couldn't stand it. He wanted to be out, and he wanted to be back in his element amongst the tangle of roots that dug into their territory. Unfortunately, he could not return until his mother gave the word. 

It was as he stalked the halls that Potema's voice found his ears. Perking at this, and turning his head in the direction that her voice rang from, the boy listened in to what she was going on about. When he came to the conclusion that it was her children she was addressing, his gaze drew dark. He had heard the way that his mother talked about them and knew that she would have preferred that they had never been born. 

Soon enough, Atshen's wicked mind went to work as he thought of just what he could do to rid their pack of these vermin. Contemplating as each baby was named, Atshen soon came to a conclusion: he had to kill the children for his mother, especially before they grew too large. 

A new light was born in Atshen's molten eyes, and he took a step forward purposely. He continued his motivated actions until they brought him a few paces before Potema and her brood. Not saying a word, Atshen looked from the pearl-haired woman and to the children as a smile crept onto his lips. As he hovered, he began to think of just how he would kill them and began to plan accordingly.
