All Welcome
The fiery boy was oblivious to the tension that surrounded him as he grew within the web. As the days went by he found himself unconcerned with the presence of others and more absorbed in himself. He wanted to explore further and further into the seemingly never ending tunnels, but his mother was persistent in keeping a close eye on him. So he instead kept himself entertained by picking a fight with one of his siblings or attempting to slip away when he thought no one was looking. Both of which usually left him defeated.

Today wasn't much different from the others as he turned one of the furs his mother brought with her into his new chew toy. Tiny baby teeth were working their way into his gums relentlessly and it often left the boy with the overwhelming desire to bite something. Seeing as how he was usually left beaten after munching on one of his littermates, Ganon decided to go for a less brutal opponent. So he sat there happily gnawing and drooling on the pelt, completely uninterested with what went on around him.

Despite the one-sided conversation with Miraak, Atshen found himself walking towards the corner of the web where Potema and her young had settled. Though Atshen respected Miraak, he also was a being that abided by the law of his mother. He would do everything in his power to ensure both the safety of his mother and her happiness-- especially if it meant killing others. In Nemesis' eyes, these puppies were troublesome to the Brotherhood, and that meant that this was an issue that Atshen would need to deal with.

The Spiderling slunk in the shadows, keeping his molten eyes trained to the mother and litter that lingered about twenty feet before him, finding his attention trained to the child who gnawed idly on the pelt that lined their nest. Unsure of just how to approach it, as Potema was present, so instead of acting he waited as he tested the waters to see if he would be noticed or not.

Chan I shadowposted you so sorry

She was afraid of them being hurt by either Nemesis or her brood. She trusted the others to protect them, but she could never be sure. She gave her own children a larger rein, but she still checked in on them, making sure, reassuring their safety.

Their teeth were coming in, something she was painfully reminded of as they fed. With little food available, it was hard to provide them with furs to chew on, and harder still to protect their bedding from her children's destructive teething maws.

Ganondorf, She said sternly as she observed her fire-pelted son. She still could not deduce why his pelt was shaded the way it was, a furious band of red-orange akin to flames, having never met any of the donors' relatives. It remained a mystery. Don't, She grabbed his scruff, tearing him away from the pelt. She barely noticed Atshen lurking in the shadows, her attention focused on her wayward son. He needed something else to play with.

He was far too involved in his game to notice the attention of another, in fact he was so delved into his own world that he didn't even hear his mother call his name. Instead he only felt as her jaws wrapped around his scruff and in response to her actions, the boy let out a growl while he was pulled away from the pelt. He did his best to rebel against the pale conjurer with his not so threatening scowls and kicks, but his actions had little success.

After some time he let himself go limp, having realized it was pointless to waste energy fighting against his mother who he could not beat. He'd have a better chance of escaping her clutches on the ground anyways, and so he patiently waited to be put down that way he could make a beeline for the nearest escape route.

Knowing not to expose himself at that moment, Atshen watched as Potema regarded her son and plucked him up off the ground. He was curious to see what would happen whenever Ganondorf would be returned to the floor and would watch carefully until the child was freed from his mother's grasp. In the meanwhile, Atshen carefully pulled the upper half of his body forward so that he could lay. Perhaps, he ventured optimistically; he would appear more approachable to the fire-pelted child if he were at his level. Despite his urge to get up and pounce, he waited still, knowing that now was not the time.

Ganondorf raged against her, but she was largely unhindered by her son's snarls and kicks, even giggling softly at the sight. No matter how large Ganon would grow, he would still have a fierce and unquellable temper. She was proud and glad that he was still kicking — well, he no longer was physically, but that's not the point — after the scare during his birth.

Potema put the pup down, placing a paw on him to keep him still. That is not a toy for you to play with; that is bedding, She said sternly, her large blue eyes matching his. When it gets warmer and there is more prey, I shall get you a pelt to play with. But until then: do not play with the bedding. Understand? Her eye flickered up towards Atshen, glaring at him for a moment before returning to her son.

The young wolf knew little of pack politics. He didn't know that Nemesis had been leader and had a bunch of kids and that that made it wrong for Potema who was not a leader at that point to have a bunch of kids - or something. He didn't know that he and his siblings were a threat to anyone. There was little he knew at all about this dark world that he lived in, and in truth, he didn't even know what compelled him to act in that moment. Instinct? Familial loyalty? The opportunity to be a nuisance? It mattered little. Ganandorf was struggling against Potema, and Vaati was up and darting to his rescue.

It was a sorry attempt, really. His snarl, though furiously inspired, was not nearly as fierce as he intended. His attack was fairly lackluster as well, inspite of how hard he tried. He bounded forth, falling over himself once before pulling himself back up and leaping to save Ganon from their mother's clutches. He did leap, make no mistake. But while he aimed for her face, he really just sort of hopped into her leg, knocked his head against her shin, and fell backwards.

Vaati rolled away before steadying himself on his stomach. He shook his head and blinked around as though unsure of what had just happened. His eyes fell on Ganon beneath Potema's paw, but he didn't feel quite as inspired to act. Instead, he fixed his mother with a rueful pout as though he truly understood that his best bet was guilting his brother free, rather than actually forcing it.

He ignored just about everything his mother said, too focused on the route he would take to flee. The second his tiny paws hit the ground Ganondorf took off like a rocket, but his mother's paw was all it took to hold him in place. He let out a grumble when the realization hit him that his chances of escaping where slim. He was about to try and force his way free, but his brother's unexpected rescue caused him to lose his train of thought. Instead the fiery boy was trying to decide if he was thankful or upset at his littermates actions. A part of him was grateful that Vaati had come to his aid, but another part was furious that his brother thought him incapable of escaping alone.

He gave a tug as he watched his littermate quite literally put on the puppy dog face, and shot his sibling a look that said "run before she gets you too!" If they were both caught then it was game over for them, and so the boy took the opportunity to squirm beneath his mother's paw while Vaati proved to be a useful distraction. It was now or never.

Meeting Potema's gaze, Atshen watched on and lowered his gaze as she did. He did not leave and instead watched on as if waiting for an opportune moment to either strike or exit the scene. His decision had not yet been made and he would linger until it was.

She locked eyes with Atshen after looking at her son's squirms, her gaze becoming increasingly cold the more she thought of what the boy's presence meant. Was it a warning from Nemesis? That she was always being watched? The witch did not back down from the molten eyes, her grip still tight on her youngest son, until a small head rammed against her paw.

Potema looked curiously at the platinum furred boy who pouted up at her. Potema mirrored the expression for a moment, before uttering a fake roar, her free paw lunging towards Vaati in an attempt to grab him too.

Things did not quite go according to plan. Vaati saw the look on his brother's face, but his eyes darted back to Potema's face imploringly. For a moment, it seemed as though the pale woman would give in and release Ganondorf as the silver-furred pup's face requested. But, in the end, Vaati learned very quickly that his was not a mother that could be swayed by an adorable face.

Vaati yelped as she whipped out a paw towards him. He stumbled backwards to get away, but that attempt lasted about two seconds before his better sense kicked in and he collapsed onto the ground to expose his belly. The platinum pup allowed himself to be swept up without a fight, recognizing without fuss that he was doomed alongside his brother within her clutches.
