All Welcome
Maybe a Nerd? Could be interesting!

Somehow he ended up heading north again from the forest. The scent of the sea should have turned his stomach, but it did not. Rather, it was comforting - the way the flowers had been. It did not take long for the roaming man to find his way to the coast again, although it was vastly different this time. Rather than washing ashore on some spit of beach, he was standing atop a great battlement of stone, looking down the cliffside at the roaring sea.

The rain which had come and gone upon his arrival threatened to return again — he spied dark bands of cloud on the horizon — but Pendragon was unafraid.

Being here, upon the bluff, was like being back upon his island home. It was remarkably similar to the days he would spend keeping watch of the sky, observing the birds, and wondering to himself as a child, what else is there? Except that now Pendragon knew for certain there was more, and he wanted desperately to go back to being ignorant of it. Standing as he did with the sea wind blustering at his scruff so wildly, he looked to be at peace with his life — as if he belonged here — but in his mind Pendragon was saying a prayer of hope, love, and misery to his far-away kingdom.

I found thread, I stole. Not nerd. Don't like it. Fite me @Uma might jump in, idrk

Feint's breath laboured whilst she trotted up the seemingly endless rise. She had decided to tag along with Uma in her forlone quest to find this indie character. She had already managed to lose the white wolf, much was the way of wandering wherever you felt like, and this was not something she took much concern in. She was sure if Uma wanted her company she would find her easy enough.

After what could have been either 10 minutes, or two hours, the young girl was never good at gauging time, she found herself reaching the platuea before the bluffs. The ever curious silver child quickly made her way to the edge, legs that a moment ago were protesting at the climb carried her to the bluff. She couldn't help but lean her head over the edge to take in the wonderful sight of breakers on the rocks below. "Holy shit!" she managed to shout to no one in particular.
Turning her eyes to the remaining cliffs she spotted the other wolf a ways down. She began trotting along the edge. Before long she called to them with little concern for their own thoughts about her intrusion.
"think I could make it to the water?"

Ever since meeting the girl of the group she called Teaghlaigh, Indie had been taking her potential as a scout more seriously. The starlet already had the restless paws and freewheeling demeanor to suit. The fact that her internment upon the Blackwater Isles [of course, she was the most willing of prisoners] was made so resolute by the fluctuations of the tide spurred Indie to take many of her chances to depart the cloisters and explore the surrounding coast. The beaches were something of a treasure box for her; she never failed to find something thrilling and bright to enthrall her — but this was no different than any place in the world the vaudevillian may find herself, as Indie seemed to attract a myriad interesting characters, intriguing situations and creatures of the night.

That day, she found two wolves. What a treat!

The dark woman sashayed up to the two, a man and the women. Feeling the situation, Indie deducted that neither knew each other. Indie flashed a grin at the women and she rounded the two, but notably refrained from offering the brute such formality. It seemed the Nereides’ attitude towards males had had been rubbing off on her, after all. “You would sooner be dashed upon the rocks” Indie called out as she moved closer. When she was indeed closer, Indie continued sotto voce. “I do not suggest tempting such a fate”

It was spring. The air was ripe with it already - perhaps the spring came early to the mainland? Pendragon wondered how his home fared; perhaps his sister and the other druids were preparing for their rituals? Would they be planting seeds for their circles now, or singing praises to the trees? His heart yearned for home the more he thought about it — but the man's thoughts were pulled away from the Vale and brought back to the cliffside when a spritely voice drew his attention away.

When Pendragon turned to regard the silvered girl, he smiled, and prepared to answer — but there was a second wolf that came seemingly from nowhere, dark of pelt and somewhat friendly. His smile broadend a bit, but he chose not to interject yet.

The pair seemed to be unaffiliated with one another, but friendly at the same time. Were these more rogues like himself? He thought to taste the wind, or inspect the two women himself — but that would've been too bold, too rude. So he waited, patient (if a bit sullen) until one of them addressed him.

The carefree girl was busy looking over the edge as she danced along, step by step. Her ears flicked as a rather eloquent, and somewhat feminine responce was supplied. Oddly enough it didnt even sound like it came from the wolf she addressed.

Halting with a small slide, her golden eyes fell on the speaker. A quick glance from one to the other. With a rolling shrug the argent girl responded. "That's a long way to say 'stupid idea'." Moving herself away from the bluff she trotted a few yard's until she found herself an equal distance between the two.

With a half smile she again found herself looking between the two. A mischievous tone ensued "Besides. I was asking that one." With a point of her muzzle toward her original target.

Following her climb up the dunes and across the rocky cliffs, her pink eyes were faced with a scene so startling that she had to stop a moment and wait for her heart to stop pounding, lest she pass out. not only did she know all three of these canines, an unlikely situation in and of itself; but also, one of the three was the woman she had been searching for. indie.

Indie! shouted uma, running carefully over the rocky ground until she had reached the trio,  the third among them being none other than pendragon, the man she had helped a few days prior. It became apparent as she drew closer, however, that she would need to deal with Feint first, before addressing the male and before having a proper reunion with her pitch-furred friend.

What the hell are you doing? uma questioned loudly, her voice overflowing with frustration. was there no end to feint's recklessness? the girl, refreshing though her attitude was, seemed to have utterly no concept of danger, or even of death. a furious snarl was released from uma's gullet as she launched herself after the wriggling form of her traveling partner, fangs attempting to lash onto the silvered tail and pull her back away from the edge. If, of course, she caught her.

Feint's body was much smaller than her own, therefore she would have no trouble hauling her. The yanking of her tail would hurt, but uma did not care. after all, it woud be much more painful to fall off the cliffside. In the end, however, the yearling moved away from the ledge of her own volition, trotting towards the others in order to run her sassy mouth, no doubt. Uma, meanwhile, heaved a sigh of exasperated relief and followed in Feint's footsteps, though she stopped by Indie's side initially, leaning over to the velvet black ear and whispering. I am glad to see you.

She raised her voice so that everyone present could hear her. And this lovely young lady is Feint. Her words sodden with sarcasm.

The man continued to say nothing, which pleased the veiled starlet. Little attention was paid to him, as she had become accustomed to doing [and she really rather liked it] — but the spritely young girl, who picked her way across the cliff so dexterously, so dareveilishly, caught her attention. A dark eyebrow was cocked as the girl questions her methods, but ultimately stepped away from the edge and ventured closer to the fire that was Indie.

“Well, you won’t forget now— will you?” the chanted question lingered in the air as the salt and pepper girl address the man behind her. Indie looked at the brute, gaze potent and molten — daring the male to say something and introduce himself. Perhaps all males of the coast expected to be treated as the Nereides treated them? “Right,”  she spoke with a twist of her lips, eager to change the subject.

Well, Indie shan't worry about this long; for another being arrived and stole the limelight! This wolf was lithe and beheld a bright alabaster pelt that reminded her of the recent winter snows. From the corner of her golden eyes, Indie believed she saw several scars zig-zagging across her hide. The white woman flashed onto the scene with alacrity, and Indie thought she heard her name echo off somewhere in the distance — but it took until the woman stopped moving for her to ascertain who this was.

“Uma?” she questioned hesitantly, not sure she was truly seeing what was in front of her. It was entirely possible that this too was a ghost, as Donovan had been. Indie blinked once, twice, three times, promptly forgetting about the others on the scene. This was Uma! Quite nonchalantly Uma greeted Indie, whispering sweet words into her feathered ear. Indie’s cupped ear flickered against her breath and she giggled from excitement. Her friend may be able to play it cool, but Indie’s inner fire could not be subdued.  “Uma!” she exclaimed, almost blanketing Uma’s introduction of Feint with her bright tone. “My love!”  She felt featherlight at the sight of her friend standing beside her; it was a sighted she never thought to behold again.

Indie stepped closer, alighting her dark velveteen check with Uma’s own. “What on earth? How?”  Her glance bounced from Feint to the still-foreign brute, wondering what wonderful thing thet must have done to witness such a joyous occasion.

It was indeed foolish to be upon the edge of the world, tempting fate. And for a moment or two Pendragon forgot that he was upon the mainland, reminded for a series of intense seconds of the lessons taught to all young wolves of the Vale — that if you fall, you fall for good. Pendragon was tense as he watched the silver girl roaming atop the plateau, although the dark woman was quick to intervene, and when Feint snapped back at Indie with a motion at himself, the man stopped his mind from wandering.

She is correct, he murmured, validating what Indie had been saying — but he didn't get another word in, because the familiar silhouette of Uma was suddenly among them. The tense sitation unfolded swiftly and the man relaxed, his tail raising and waving confidently behind him as he watched Uma approach. The nearer she got, the less he felt like watching the sea or brooding upon what once was. Pendragon shifted position and climbed down from the narrow ridge he had been perched upon, although he did not inturrupt as Uma and Indie were reunited.

It seemed as if everyone knew everyone else, for the most part. Uma introduced the silver girl as Feint, and by Uma's own boisterous intervention, Pendragon knew what to call the dark girl as well. With so many individuals together it seemed impossible for Pendragon to reminisce, or even think, quietly. He began to slip around the gathering but he kept his attention upon Uma and her friends, just in case someone wished to address him. He gave the silver girl a cursory glance and a small smile, but nothing more — it felt as if he'd overstayed his welcome.

The argent girl was caught unaware when Uma shouted the name of her mark. She watched silently at the brief exchange between the two friends, a  twinge of regret struck her like a physical blow. For reasons she was only slightly aware of she found herself shocked that the quest to find Indie seemed to end almost as soon as it began.

Her face quickly split into a wolffish grin at her introduction. With a small prancing step she moved a few feet toward the now the couple. Caught up in the exchange she had almost completely forgotten about the nearby male. She watched him move away, before returning her attention to Uma. "Told ya she wasn't gonna be near the gross things on the beach" with a matter of fact tone, the silver girl puffed herself up as if this reunion was her doing completely.
