All Welcome
The night air was filled with the soft hum of crickets and the quiet chatter of birds that were still awake long after sundown. The darkness of the glen was broken only by the light of its tiny namesakes that gingerly floated along the ground and perched upon rocks and fallen logs. The beauty and serenity of it all was lost on Redshank who was here only because he had followed a rogue field mouse into the thick woodland.

Though, he had quickly lost it and of course blamed various external factors none of which were his fault. So, hungry and bitter, the boy took to pouncing on the fireflies that roamed the trickling creek. They too evaded his attempts, though, which only furthered his frustration until he finally let out a loud, enraged, "STUPID FUCKIN' BUGS!" and threw himself onto the ground in defeat.

On a path that recently deviated towards lower elevations, she followed along a small waterway contentedly going nowhere in particular. It was her and the open spaces only, with just her keen eye to keep her safe and fed enough to keep moving. But it didn't bother her. She cruised along undisturbed as the dusk darkened, until an unknown scent started to tickle her nose, so she shifted to investigate a bit more while she was nearby.

Loud complaints came when she was closing in, and her ears cupped forward curiously. It didn't stop her from still encroaching on the young wolf any though. At the sight of him, and realizing how little he was, she was mostly just confused as to why he was out here yelling about bugs. She narrowed her eyes at him. "What could bugs even do to you to warrant that much noise?" she drawled as she came to a stop a few meters away from the frustrated boy-heap.
