All Welcome
Several days after encountering the Moonspear pack and now knowing what she did, she had begun to steer her travels off the range that peak occupied and onto different places. Vaguely northward seemed advantageous enough, with the distant coastline in mind too, so the spry scout went where the road took her.

She prowled on, laying low and traveling a bit faster than her moseying wander of the most recent few weeks--which in truth, she liked, despite the leanness her condition afforded her, exaggerated by upping her pace day after day. Eventually the scenery opened and she was able to head westward again without mountains blocking her way. Eager to make use of it, she went that way--past a lake, then south again tracing a waterway.

When she slowed up, dusk was beginning to creep and it was when hunger bothered her next as well. She was heading for the swamp, lured forward by all the curious frogsong. Such high humidity and impending rain had them especially pleased. She jogged deeper into the swamps edges, eyes peeled for some good eats, or otherwise interest as the terrain shifted around her.

He does not know what he will find outside the Family; he is not sure he cares to know. The battle of Blackfeather Woods has left him scarred and he grunts as his weight shifts with each step, reopening sores that will likely never heal properly. He welcomes the pain like an old friend. It is something he does not have, and something he does not miss. Besides mere aquaintences, he does not trust himself to go beyond. However, that is exactly what he does. He ventures beyond the Strath, thunderous footsteps mimicking that of murderous one's though his temper is kept in check at that moment in time. He cannot help the anger that swells in each step, pumping throughout his body like a tidal wave of molten regret. It is an indefinate curse, and one he has grown to not shy away from. His mere forboding presence is one that strikes into the hearts of many that he meets, and he has come to use it to his advantage. Occasionally.

As he comes upon the other, gliding ever so soundlessly through the underbrush of the forest that bordered on the swamp, below the canopy of ever-entangled branches above. He could hear the buzz of the marsh, but he could scarcely hear her. Did she hear him? The man opts out of confrontation and simply follows, trekking with implied light toes as his eyes trained on the figure and her journey.
i seen God come in my Garden
but i don't know what He said,
for my heart,
it wasn't open

Scents of so many sorts tickled her nose and lie scattered, this way and that, as she delved deeper. It began to look more characteristically like swampland and smell even more like peat, she mused, although never quite like any other she had known. For all of her miles traveled, she still viewed it all with a fresh eye, one with proper reverence for the vastness of the wilds she had been unleashed upon; nothing would ever be the same, here, there, or anywhere between them.

While hunger did drive her forward, she was not so focused to overlook the presence of another when within range. But, she took the information in stride and kept moving--a casual jog, and likely looking on the prowl for something, which was no lie. She'd gauge their interest, whether or not they followed after her in the first place, and always rely on her speed as a fall back in case the encounter should go south.. all of which had served her well in the past, so again today in this soggy territory, it could be no different.

And when indeed, she did not shake the other's apparent attention quite so easily, she pulled to a sudden stop and glanced over her shoulder towards the stranger. For her first clearer look of him, it turned out he's more wolf than she had anticipated. Her ears angle back somewhat and she found herself keenly aware of her hackles wanting to stiffen. "Who are you?" she quipped. She'd guided them to a dense copse full of lowly-grown shrubbery it seemed, but just ahead, it was getting wetter and she was getting hungrier.

While waiting to hear him out, her tail flickered thoughtfully before she moved forward again, heading for the loudest sounds of frogs and water with or without him--he'd decide.
