g-eazy - i mean it

With the forest and its berries far behind him, Remi continued to move east. Now he was really hungry, so once more with his nose glued to the floor and his ears swivelling restlessly on top of his head in search the sound of anything potentially edible Remi kept running around. Suddenly his stomach growled as if demanding he moved faster, and with a quick lick of his lips to try to soothe the hungry beast he was he picked up the pace.

Where is the fooooooood at thouuuugh?, he thought to himself as another sound suddenly interrupted him. This time the sound did not come from his own body. It was the sound of sucess. Quack or Ka-ching! at this point it was probably the same thing. Remi licked his lips once more, this time in anticipation, and began to make a careful approach towards a lake that he'd soon find was also true to its namesake.

And as the world crumbled to pieces all around her, Prialux DeMonte kept going on. She didn't notice, and her figure wasn't quite a symbol of it at the time being, but she was stronger than she appeared to be. Prialux had gone through loss, neglect and rejection - but she had, though, also known kindness in the world. Finite and meager kindness, through which the girl had learned that herself was the only thing she would never lose.

Herself and her drive to live.

Slowly, too slow perhaps for her needs, Prialux had learned how to hunt a proper meal. Small game was her only option; small, slow and dumb game, among which duck was a best-seller. She had followed their migration further inland than she'd ever been, and up there in their gathering hole she'd stayed for so long that she couldn't remember Kitsch or Murgash or even Amara anymore. She was just Pria, just a lone soul surviving.

Stay.Fucking.Put! she growls through her clenched jaws at the first unfortunate creature she'd caught in a couple days. He almost fled from her inexperienced attack, but Prialux got lucky for once. It had been hell just stalking it, such an erratic and volatile bird, and even after clutching her fangs around his webbed paw he was a literal mouthful. Feathers flew off left and right and the infernal squawking didn't stop until the honey huntress yanked him down and smacked him against the rocky shore.

omg

Inmediately, the sound of his potential lunch made the Ostrega's mouth water. He hurried the movements of his legs and soon, found himself staring at the lake. Way off, near the middle, a group of ducks swam in little circles Remi could only follow with his eyes. He hadn't noticed yet that further along the edge of the lake a show he perhaps wouldn't want to miss had just begun.

Her growls made the Ostrega raise his head, and after a quick swing of his head his eyes fell upon her. A feisty beauty that roused an amused smile to spread across the young male's maw. He watched her silently as she wrestled with the bird, then just as quietly, he began to walk towards her, his steps slow and measured.

"impressive" he barked once he decided he had reached a decent distance on which he could see her perfectly but wasn't as close so that she felt threatened by him. He had no intention of angering her, so with an amiable wag of his tail he showed he posed no threat to her or her food.

Blood splattered all over the pure cream of Prialux's coat, and she licked her lips as she evaluated her kill. She wouldn't have wasted a moment to dive right into the feast, but she wasn't alone. His voice rang through the warm summer wind, reaching her ears which sprung right up along with the rest of her body. For an instant Prialux thought of fleeing, feeling surrounded and under attack, but that impulse faded as she found the calm in his bright blue eyes. He wasn't threatening her, not for a single moment, and so Prialux's racing heartbeat started to settle down slowly.

You can take it if you want, she says as her ears fall behind her head. Her eyes shift away from him and her tail hides right between her thighs, she's basically begging him to leave her alone, but doesn't find the strength to up and leave despite having every chance.

Although she didn't seem particularly bothered by his presence she did not seemed pleased either, so Remi, thinking to for a second he should leave, just watched her silently until she broke the silence that had temporarily fallen upon them. She made an offer that brought both confusion and surprise to the Ostrega's crystalline blue eyes.

"its yours" he barked, feeling as if this remark was as obvious as the fact the sky was blue. "don't you want it?" he asked then, wondering if the reason she offered her kill with such indifference was because she was not interested in it - which although odd, wouldn't be as surprising seeing there were wolves who killed just because they could, not because they needed to at the moment.

Obviously, Remi was not getting the hints.
But who could blame him, though he thought of himself as a smart guy, when it came to girls he admitted to being just flat out stupid.
Her offer was an attempt to be polite or something, but not to be taken seriously. Like when a girl says everything is 'fine' and she's not mad when really she has already murdered you in her head and is plotting how to revive you just to kill you again. (yeah talking about you, Karma sis).

"halfsies would be cool though" he barked then, his mouth parting to reveal an obliviously innocent shit eating grin.
