Moonspear the sky

The longest day of the year meant less time with the stars, but Charon still welcomed the warmth that it brought. A summer shower had come during the day which meant it had cooled down considerably by the time that night did come around. Charon welcomed that, too, enjoying the diversity in temperature, and he sought out a ledge halfway along Moonspear to watch the skies from.

The pups were growing up and soon they'd be brought to the rendezvous site, giving their parents more freedom again and making them the responsibility of the whole pack even more. Charon looked forward to more time with his stars again, but he enjoyed this moment off duty while one of his older daughters watched the den and the pups in his stead. He lay by the edge of the ledge, front paws hanging off its side, while looking up at the stars. A few lone clouds drifted in the night sky, but it was mostly clear, providing a beautiful view.
