@Vela

Korei had been so excited to meet the new pups, her new siblings that she just couldn't sleep. She wanted to meet them again. Every time she went out, she thought about going in that direction, yet continuously got sidetracked. Well, not today. Today, she wanted to meet one of them. She believed that her father @Charon would let her see them no matter what, as she was their older sister. So that she did, moving over to the den they would be in. She made an excited bark, not yet knowing if they could even hear or not.

Charon was dozing by the side of the den's entrance when Julia showed up. He lifted his head from his paws and greeted her with a chuff, though he knew she was likely not here to see him. The suspicion was confirmed by the fact she went to the den's entrance to call in, likely in hopes her siblings'd come out to play. Charon lowered his head back onto his paws, trusting his daughter with his younger siblings. A yawn broke from his maw and he smacked his lips as he watched in silence, feeling sleep catch up with him again soon.

one-time post unless they bother him awake again :)

Korei heard a noise, and thought it to be one of the pups. It turned out to be her dad, as she peeked in just in time to see him putting his head back down. Korei opened her mouth to speak a greeting, than closed it. He was resting, she knew better than to wake him again. Besides, her eyes caught onto what she had been coming to see. Going down on her belly, she looked over to her siblings in the den, breathing rather too heavily from such excitement.

SO sorry for the wait! ><

Vela had been dozing off when Korei Julia called into the den. Though she had not done anything exerting that day, something had tuckered her out. The sound that called from the foyer of the cave was not all the familiar to Vela, as she was just beginning to get used to the idea of there being others beyond those who had grown at her side. Charon's introduction Despite her grogginess, Vela was intrigued. Picking her head up from the back of a dozing sibling, the girl looked to her older sibling with scrutiny. Despite her just waking up, and still shaking her tiredness, Vela was already confident that she did not want to get up and meet this stranger.

Korei Julia saw one of the pups move, and she kept her eyes on them. She couldn't tell if it was a he or she from the distance she was at. Her tail swayed out of excitement, thinking the pup would do more. Then, the pup gave a look of scrutiny. The pup did not get up whatsoever, and remained there. That did not faze the girl at all.

"Hi little...sibling. Yeah, sibling" she decided, as she did not know the gender. "I'm Korei. Koooreeeiii" she slowly said, stretching the name to try and get the pronunciation right. She wasn't sure if the younger sibling would even understand.

The stranger did not leave. Instead, she offered both a greeting and an introduction; both of which Vela absorbed quickly. Despite her mistrust, as Korei had done nothing to prove herself otherwise, Vela mirrored the word that had been carefully stretched out. From her experience, she knew that these were words that the others wanted her to try and say and such mimicking would lead to praise. Vela liked praise and the prospect of receiving it woke her up immediately. "'Ooohri," she attempted, the harsh look of speculation never wavering as she looked towards the front of the cavern.

Korei laughed a little at the mimicing pup. It was close enough, and in fact reminded herself of how she called Pyx 'Picks'. Someone she hadn't seen in a bit, though it didn't faze her at the current time. All her attention was right on the little pup. She placed a single paw closer to the young pup, tapping it in front of them. As if taunting them to move, to try and catch the paw.

Korei's giggle caught Vela's attention and to this, her head canted heavily to the side. Despite her curiosity, and invitation to come and play, she was not convinced to move forward. So, instead of doing what was expected, Vela did what she was comfortable with and stay where she was and watched.

Korei continued to watch the little one, though she was rather disappointed that they did nothing, not even fazed or encouraged by the invitation to play. So Korei withdrew the paw, pouting at the little pup. She stayed on her belly. Then, crawled forward a little closer to get closer to her little sibling. They looked tired. And she had just woken them up, after all. Carefully, she had her paw go forth again to poke the little pup, trying to get something out of this meeting. Even if they cried.

Korei slithered forward on her belly, bringing her closer to the pile of dozing pups. With this movement, Vela did her best to observe what was going on, still meeting her pale sibling with a hard stare. The unexpected happened, and once Korei paused in her progression to getting closer, Vela was nudged. Glancing from the adult and to the shoulder that had been touched, Vela spoke the first time as she voiced her dislike for what had just happened with one of the few words to knew: "No."

Korei withdrew her paw quickly, wide-eyed. Did the pup just...talk? She hadn't caught the word right away, but eventually it ran through her mind. Korei let out a dull whine. No one had told her no, no one except her own parents. It genuinely upset Korei. She sniffed at the pup once, just wanting to get the scent of the pup before she stood up and turned to leave the pup in the den.

Satisfied that her words had some power to them, Vela watched on as her older sister made her last move, turned, and shortly thereafter made her exit from the whelping den. Satisfied her nuisance of a sibling was gone, Vela lowered her head back to rest it on the back of one of her littermates and closed her eyes with every intention to continue the nap that had been so rudely interrupted.
