Jarilo gave a start when he heard the yelling. He had been consumed with the stars, drowning happily in his endless wonder that rendered even him speechless until just now. He skittered back, spooked and unsure about what had happened; his father's snaps towards Korei made him nervous and he wanted nothing to do with that. Promptly he'd give that space, and in his hurry to get away from there, he didn't hear him calling down into the crevice that had claimed his sister.

Instinctively he sought his sisters and mama next, and darted to the two he could find wide-eyed and worried as he ducked beneath his parent. Somehow, and very suddenly, this outing's mood had plummeted.
