Heartha was glad he did not mind, and upon inspection, she found no sign of uncomfortable feelings within Howl on the outside. He was genuine, and Heartha was liking that about him, being genuine. And a gentleman. She felt her flutter a bit at just thinking about that. She always fell for a gentleman.

"I wish I was same, but any family I had left, is gone" She found herself sighing. "My first mate...When our pack was attacked, he ran. My son went after him, but I doubt either had survived. My mate had left long before any of us realized it." She had always thought him courageous, kind, caring. But in the end, he was a coward. "I had been careful with finding another.
