All Welcome
anyone, but sort of hoping for a sibling, @Blixen @Artaax <3

Bobby sat in Hougeda, on a sunny patch of moss. He was staring up at the sky through a hole in the roof of the cavern. He watched the clouds as they rolled by, and he gave a name to each of the new ones as they rolled into view. A big white one with a spiky appearance he called Spike, and the one that looked like a rock he called Rock. But the one that didn't look like much of anything he had to get creative with. He turned his head from side to side, getting the angles like a sculptor would his marble.

Finally the pup decided that it would be called, Artaax Eating a Seagull! He giggled to himself, watching the cloud morph then disappear from view.

omg ur my brother all over again! <3<3<3

Artaax bared his teeth at the high limbs above him. The kestrel sitting on the branch overhead could not have cared less. The pup had been attempting to climb the tree to get at him for quarter of an hour now while the bird simply sat there, tilting its head back and forth as it watched him, not the slightest bit concerned. It was infuriating for the aspiring hunter. He was used to not catching anything because it ran away too fast. But to not catch it because he simply couldn't get to it? Unconscionable.

As little as Artaax wanted to give up, he did recognize that he needed reinforcements. He hissed at the bird once more before he turned and ran towards Hougeda at full tilt. He was only like twenty yards away, so it was rather excessive. But it got him back home in about twenty seconds where he gave a quick look around and spotted his siblings. Artaax darted breathlessly towards his brother. "Come on! HURRY!!" he barked sharply before pivoting suddenly about three inches before smashing right into him and sprinting back off in the direction he'd come.

In all, Artaax was probably gone from the tree for around 1.237 minutes before he returned. And still, his heart was pounding from fear that his prey had taken flight. A huge sigh of relief burst from his muzzle when he saw the kestrel seated calmly where he'd left it, acting as though it had never even noticed he'd left. Which it very well may not have.

yay stevieee!!! <3

Bye Artaax eating a seagull! Bobby said to himself, just as a real Artaax trying to eat a bird came flying his direction. The small pup leaped up like a frightened cat, and landed clumsily back on his feet. Come on! HURRY! Artaax exclaimed, and ran off quickly. A little frightened, Bobby took off after him, having no idea what was happening. The two pup's came to a tree, and Artaax stopped. Not expected this to be their destination, Bobby slipped and tumbled to the ground in an attempt to stop himself.

He hurried back up to his feet, shaking out his fluffy puppy fur. He moved close to Artaax and with a little frustration batted at his ear. Why you scare me and make me come to tree! He asked a little loudly. The bird up above ruffled it's feathers but didn't take off.

Now we've got you... Artaax thought as he narrowed his eyes at the bird. He glanced at Robin as his brother nearly crashed into him and toppled over, quirking a brow. He tensed as his brother barked a question at him, his eyes shooting back up to the kestrel anxiously. It shuffled a bit, but didn't take off, to his relief. Turning back to Bobby, he nipped at the other boy's nose before explaining what this was all about.

"Shhhh! We're hunting, Bobbin," he admonished, gesturing with a tilt of his head up to the kestrel, "I been tryin' ta climb the tree to get at him but I can't. We gotta come up with another plan for getting him, but I don't know what to do. We can't let him get away." His eyes widened slightly, making it clear how adamant he was about the last bit. Losing this prey was absolutely NOT an option, even though it was the most likely eventuality.

omg bobbin so cute <3

Bobby sneezed a bit when Artaax nipped at his nose, then his brows furrowed into a frown. His brother just scared him and dragged him out to this tree, then nipped his face! It was... not nice! The small boy was about to protest, but his brother quickly shushed him and said that they were hunting. Bobby made a pfft sound and replied, Huntin what? That bird! How gonna get it, cause it all the way up there! It was more of a snarky rhetorical comment than a real question.

Artie explained that he was trying to climb the tree, which Bobby immediately knew wouldn't work. Stupid! he thought but didn't say to his brother. Artie explained that he wanted Bobby's help, and at first Bobby wanted to be a sassy baby and say no. But when he saw the look of utmost importance in his brother's eyes, he sighed dramatically. Fine! We gotta come up with better plan though cause we can't climbed it. He said, looking up at the bird in the tree.

He had an idea (little did he know that he was now the one with the stupid idea), that he thought would probably work. With a happy smile and an excited way of his tail, the boy turned his golden gaze back to his brother. Artie, h'bout I get on your back and then maybe I can reach 'im?! He said, clearly very into the whole 'catching the kestrel' thing now.

LOL that was originally a typo but I liked it xD

Artaax frowned at his brother's negative response. Instead of being at all helpful, Bobby simply stated the obvious problems that he was already fully aware of. He began wishing that he'd run into Blixen first. Blixen might not have had any brilliant ideas either, but she at least would have tried to be helpful. Or at least, that's what Artaax decided in that particular moment spent with his brother.

The pup quirked a brow as a sudden smile jumped across Bobby's face. He frowned as he considered the suggestion, casting his gaze back up the tree towards the seated kestrel. After a few seconds, he nodded determinedly and looked at his brother with a grin - his previous annoyance forgotten.

"Yeah! Move out of the way, I gotta stand right here and you can climb up," Artaax said, already standing and scootching the dark pup to the side with his body. He positioned himself squarely beneath the branch that held their prey and planted all four paws firmly on the ground. With a woof, he let Bobby know that he was ready, then braced himself for the added weight.

There was a moment when Bobbin thought that Artaax wouldn't like his idea. This would've saddened the pup, because he thought it was pretty damn smart! But Artaax's frown turned upside down quickly, and his brother confirmed that this was the new plan. Artaax ordered Bobby out of the way but before the small dark boy could move on his own he was already being pushed. He scooted the rest of the way and watched as Artie braced himself for the weight. Bobby wriggled his booty and with a quiet but playful growl he pounced onto Artie's back.

He wobbled for a second, his front right paw sliding off and jabbing his older brother's side. He pulled it back up quickly and made himself comfortable, making sure he wouldn't fall. Then, very cautiously and on shaky legs, he moved up onto his hind legs. He tried his best to swipe at the bird above with his front legs, but he wasn't close enough. Artie be taller! He whispered down at his brother.

Artaax had not expected his brother to weigh as much as he did. His face scrunched from the effort as he shifted to better brace himself. He had been tackled by Bobby numerous times in his life and yet he had never really committed to memory just how much the other boy weighed. He'd remember it now, for like, ever. He grunted as his brother positioned himself upon his back and he in turn pushed upward to stand as tall as he could manage. He attempted to crane his neck upwards to see where how much closer he had brought them to the bird - surely it was like, a ton closer - but he found himself unable to angle correctly, and so he ducked his head back down and simply focussed on being tall.

Bobby whispered to him, and instantly, the pale wolf was even more irritated. "I'm doing the best I can!" he hissed back, grimacing as he attempted to straighten his legs even further. He felt his limbs begin to tremble as he did so, but he ignored all of his physical discomfort as best as he could. Nothing mattered but catching their prey. "Can you reach it?"

Bobby kept trying his best to reach the bird, but it wasn't happening and that made the boy frustrated. Why couldn't Artaax just be bigger! He heard his brother's response, but he just couldn't believe it. This was the best that Artaax could do? When they sparred and played around together, Artaax always seemed big; could he not be big again now, when the brothers were actually working towards the same goal?

Bobby looked down for a minute just to visually assess whether or not Artie was trying hard enough. It looked like he was trying, despite the fact that they were still at least a yard or two away from their feathered friend. With a quick huff, Bobby looked back up and stretched out his little limbs as best he could. The problem was that every time he'd get his body as tall as possible, he'd start to lose his balance and have to go back down onto all fours to get repositioned. It was very, very irritating.

Artaax asked if he could reach it, and finally Bobby decided that this mission was a lost cause- Unless... Bobby looked down, another (bad) idea having clicked into his head. Artie! What if we make Blixen or Sirio or Dalia come help? We could defin-definy-deff... we could reach da bird with all them! He asked, staring down at the top of his brother's head.

Artaax was beginning to feel his legs tremble as Bobby stood upon him. He sucked in a breath and held it tight as his brother shifted, reached, and just all around made things very difficult for him. The struggle was merely part of the nature of what it was they were attempting to do, but Artaax was a kid with a quick temper when it came to not achieving his goals. And he wanted badly to achieve this one.

By the time Bobby proposed his next genius idea, Artaax couldn't take it anymore. A soft grunt was the only warning he gave his brother before he suddenly bucked liked a wild horse, attempting to throw the dark boy off of him. It was a rather lackluster move, for rather than standing up spectacularly on his hind legs while Bobby flew away through the skies, he just sort of twisted and then collapsed.

Bobby barely heard Artaax's grunts over his own as he tried to reach the prize. The last attempt that Bobby made was actually a little closer, but before he could try again, he felt his base buck and he flew off. For a moment, he was soaring through the sky, and he felt just like the bird in the tree. Everything was slow motion as he looked around him. But then the feeling he had was cut off rather abruptly when he hit the ground and rolled away. He landed on his side, and it did hurt a little. It would probably bruise but nothing too awful.

He laid there, a black and orange pile of fluff. He raised his head and looked around in a daze, then snapped out of it and scrambled over to Artie. Artie you see? I was fly'n! Like that bird! Was fly'n all 'round, was so cool. You wan try? He asked with an excited grin, and bowed down so that his brother might board the Bobbymobile. He's pretty much forgotten about catching the bird, this was way cooler.

Last post for me! Feel free to either post again or archive :D <3<3

Artaax felt the wind burst out of his lungs as he hit the ground. He moaned as he rolled onto his stomach and his ribs ached with protest. His eyes were shut tight as he focused on regaining his breath, only opening them to slits when Bobby began to excitedly share his opinion of what had just happened.

Artaax merely blinked at him for a few seconds before sucking in a deep breath and forcing himself up onto his haunches. He lifted his head to shoot another longing gaze at the kestrel, only to discover that the bird had gone. He frowned and heaved a sigh that hurt. Frowning, he looked at Bobby and shook his head to decline the new game. He was wounded - more his pride than anything physical, but it was debilitating enough to ruin his fun.

Wordlessly, Artaax stood and began walking slowly back to Hougeda, giving Bobby a quiet chuff and a twitch of his head to serve as his announcement that he was heading home. He walked gingerly, mostly because he was being an attention-seeking baby, and also because he was pouting. His mind would be running circles around his failure though, seeking a way to do better in the future so he could one day taste kestrel.

Artaax didn't give Bobby much response, he just chuffed and turned away. Bobby huffed through his nose, thinking about how much of a party pooper Artaax could be. Bye Artie. He said to his brother, before turning around and heading in the opposite direction. He was going to go find one of the other kids, and see if he could get them to play his fun new game.

Fun thread! I love Artie and Bobbin so much <3
