In the short time that had passed since Galaxy's unexpected death, Vela had become her father's shadow. Following his every step, the freckled child followed without question to where their destination. With all of the uncertainty that ran rampant in her young mind, the only thing she was certain of was that she wanted to be with Charon. She had always gravitated towards her father — a quintessential "daddy's girl"— and the trauma of her sibling's untimely death had only strengthened such desires.

Today Charon brought them to the safety of the base of the mountain— far from any ledges that Vela could find herself falling from. Since Galaxy's death, she strayed towards the base of the mountain, keeping far from the sights and danger of the shelves. Charon had helped in keeping her away from them as well; directing her as necessary to ensure her safety.

It had been long since Vela had cried, her eyes still glistened as though the threat of tears breaking loose was imminent. Charon was doing well in distracting the girl from her thoughts and, currently, she was all too interested in the foundation story of Moonspear to give her negativity a second thought. "I'll see Uncle Floki one day, right Papa?" she asked curiously, her voice rounded with hope. She knew that Uncle Floki was away, but, she longed to meet the man that her father spoke so highly of.
