Moonspear stuck in her daydream

Had it been any other wolf, Vela would not have been so quick to believe the fantastical tale that he had presented. As he called for his former friends, the Xi's eyes scanned the property expectantly as she awaited their arrival. "Osprey! Draaaake!" she called, chiming in so that the trolls could hear them. It was in the brief silence that followed their cries that the girl's heart accelerated as her excitement grew. 

And then, it happened. Vela looked from her Father's line of sight and followed it to the spot where he had placed them. Despite their invisibility, Vela believed them to be there as she had the utmost confidence in her father. "They're there!" she exclaimed gaily, pressing forward a step as she kept an eye on them. 

Upon further observation, and as he imagination ran rampant at the opportunity to construct whatever she wanted, Vela had some question about them that she needed to be answered. "Has Osprey always been blue like the sky?" Osprey was a beautiful troll, with hair like starlight and a pelt as blue as the heavens above. Drake, on the other hand, was rugged. It was as though he had been carved from the mountain they lived on as his skin and hair appeared to be made of clay. His eyes, though, were a striking shade of gold. She liked them, so far, and was glad that Papa had shown them to her exclusively.
