All Welcome

Somewhere things were changing. Here things were changing, but Catori did not know what nor where, these were not her lands and she had explored to her heart's content. Still her paws itched to more, the Spiritwalker sticking to the shoreline where she could. There was a pack she had avoided, uninterested in the bickering of wolves and their motives. She had mostly avoided the ranks, raising up through them with her family because of longevity and her level head; she was the peacekeeper, the one who listened - and it was a commodity few could claim and actually back up. She could hear the sea, she could watch it, staying close to the familiar because it soothed her soul. Too far inland and she became almost itchy - longing for the safe and familiar.

Beneath her the sands were growing where the grasses had dominated before and above her the sun shone bright on her pale fur. She was in good spirits, as usual, though her thoughts frequently passed back to her brother and father and mother and the soon to come shift of the reigns. She knew that Chelan was the better obvious choice. He could do for the pack what she would not - ruling was not what she was meant to do.

What wicked little twist of fate placed you here upon my plate? Here where no one hears your cries?

The Night watch faded, and Athan was released. The feeling of freedom, unweighted by others' wants and needs was a breath of fresh air for the strigoi. It was a mistake tying himself down, only leading to heartbreak and emptiness in the end. He ghosted along the shore as he had before, lurking in darkness and resting at day, regressing to a familiar rhythm.

He lurked under a dugout dune, the shadows protecting him but only barely. His eyes fluttered as sunlight caught him, and he pushed himself further into the shadows, curling in a ball, his head poked out, watching the shore, his eyes eventually landing on the woman crossing before him.
WARNING! this boy thinks hes a vampire. regardless of the validity of this, he does get a weird kick out of biting wolves and drinking their blood and just blood in general... He considers most wolves his potential prey, and is liable to attack at random if he believes he can take down a wolf.

Catori did not need to see the other wolf to feel them near her. It was almost like a static electricity, her awareness catching her for a moment and distracting her from the comforting hum of the ocean. An ear flicked towards the other wolf, and finally, the vanilla and ginger kissed female turned her head to look towards the other wolf. They made no motions to approach, seemingly quite content where they rested in the sands and Catori did not disturb them. A gentle nod of her head in passing; acknowledgement and little else, before the woman continued on her way closer to the sea and it's siren's call.

Her sights set on the lapping of the ocean, distracted only by the appearance of a washed up sand dollar. Catori gave a little grin, shifting into a brief trot to near it and poke at it with one paw - not with enough force to crack or break the delicate thing.

feel free to have him approach if you want!

He blinks in acknowledgement of her presence, resigning himself to mere observance as she trotted towards the sea. There is no yearning in his fangs to cut at her throat and feast upon her, but a yearning of his body to be close to another, a yearning of his soul to experience another's presence. And so, despite the sun and heat, he rises and approaches. He is quiet, moving slowly and gently with each step, the sands muffling his footprints. His head raises to look over her shoulder as he grows closer, observing the small sea thing that she was playing with, saying nothing.
