@Terance

ooc: pp with permission from Iris

Charon had called for Wraen's brother and then excused himself to deal with some mandatory alpha business. She thanked him for the guidance and the conversation they had had on the way to Moonspear. Though she had met Osprey's best friend only an hour or so ago, it was so easy to talk to him that it felt as if he had been her friend for a very long time too.

As she sat waiting for her brother to appear, she cast a look at around at the place - it was easy to imagine the tall, white wolf as the elfin king of the forest and that the inhabitants of this place would be equally magical and extraordinary. The names he had mentioned surely weren't of the usual assortment. So... all in all, if the most unlikely scenario happened and Terance told her to go home, she thought she would enjoy staying here. Of course, it would never be a home in the same sense she had had with her parents and siblings, but she was willing to give this place a chance.

And so she waited, wondering, what would the moment of reunion between the two siblings be.

mind if we present date this!?

Her father must have forgotten the state Terance was in—recovery mode—though Terance had made an attempt to rise. Hold up. Whoever called for you can come to you, if need be, she decided. After much bullying, Terance relented, and Hydra went straight to the borders. Unlike her father, Hydra experienced no deja vu with Wraen... but given that she was obviously already in her fathers good graces, Hydra was warm to her already.

Hey—Terance is still in recovery mode. I can escort you to him, though, she offered.

ooc: I had a PM exchange about this with Magdalyn and I have no idea, what she and Iris agreed on. But I don't mind, as long as all of the involved parties are fine with this.

"Oh... okay," Wraen replied after a moment of surprise, when instead of Terance someone feminine and very unfamiliar appeared and offered to escort her to her brother. She wondered though, why had Charon decided not to tell her that his subordinate was so unwell that he was unable to come and greet his sister himself.

"I am Wraen," she introduced herself. "May I know your name?"

I consulted with everybody and we're good!

The other accepted her offer readily enough, though Hydra just needed to check in with her father. After howling to him, she waited several moments to hear back from him. Before that, the other supplied her name. His sister! And she tipped her head back once more. Now, even Terance would know what was up. Her father consented with a howl in return, and Hydra grinned. Hey, how's your other sister, Sarah...? She asked, recalling the turmoil of Terance. And realizing she had yet to answer Wraen's own question, Hydra supplied her with the answer: Hydra Ostrega. She knew the whole family of Wraen was received well by her father, and such a thing had a positive effect overall on Hydra and her attitude toward the stranger.

Wraen even smelled like Charon, meaning she must have met him. Heck, that he wasn't here now furthered her belief on that. My dad must have been too eager to meet you to update you on current events. Terance is fine—we recently had a bear on our turf, and it had a go at him. Nothing fatal, but he's been resting and recovering under my sisters orders... Lyra, she informed with a nod. She gestured alongside her, preparing to get a move on.

"Nice to meet you, Hydra," Wraen replied, noting that the she-wolf reminded very little of the name-sake monster Hydra of Lerna. No multiple heads, no poisonous breath or smell. She did not remind much of Charon, though it was pretty dark to examine the facial features bit by bit.

"Oh, no, he did not tell me that," she was a little surprised that the leader would omit that particular detail about her brother, but on the other hand - it meant that he was not injured too badly, right? "How long did it happen?" she pushed the subject further, forgetting that Hydra had asked about Sarah's well-being before.

You too, Wraen, and she listened, rapt for word on Sarah... but first came questions about the bear attack. Of course that would take precedence to Wraen; Hydra would be beside herself to think of any of her sisters being hit by a bear. A week ago. Lyra says he ought to take it easy until two weeks in case of a bad head injury. He seems fine though, but better safe than sorry, Hydra definitely did not want anything bad happening to Terance. He had become one of her favorite friends, after all. And noting that Sarah had not been spoken of (which Hydra could understand, in lieu of the topic of their conversation), she asked, I asked about Sarah before because Terance was worried about her. Apparently they got split up on their adventure together... have you seen her? Since Terance left, I mean, the way she asked was gentle. Though she hadn't admitted it aloud, she had been concerned for Terance's anxiety in regards to what had happened. He blamed himself, and thought it was as bad as an accident as Korei's own (which, even with Galaxy surviving, Hydra could not see or understand). She worried nonetheless, and thought a lot about the girl she had never met. For Terance's sake, Hydra hoped she was okay.

Geez... Wraen thought to herself and wondered, what would her parents have to say about their supposedly very dutiful, down-to-earth and smart (underline this) son going around and messing with bears. That did not sound like Terance she had known back home, but people changed over time. And she had not seen him for many months.

"Lyra is your sister, right?" she asked, recalling the conversation she had had with Charon and naming and counting all of the children he had here. "He is going to be all right?" she was not doubting the other one's skills, she just wanted to be sure.

"Yeah - Sarah returned to us and she is fine," Wraen said, feeling somewhat uneasy to talk about her sibling. Especially since they had parted being on not so good terms. "He does not have to worry."

Right, she said with a nod, and as for her question, Hydra said with a smile, so far it's looking that way. He's been getting a lot of rest. In fact, he could even have fallen asleep by the time we get there... some of the herbs have that side-effect. She had noticed that when he started dozing off mid-conversation with him. Lyra arrived in time to stop her from having a fit toward him, though, so he was well in the clear.

She heaved a sigh of relief, not noting Wraen's uneasyness. I'm glad to hear that. Terance will be, too. He was worried that something awful had happened to her when they split, and now Hydra felt great about things, guilt-free. His accident hadn't spelt death for Sarah as Korei's seemingly had for Galaxy. They drew nearer to the spot where Terance was, and Hydra forewarned her, he might be pretty out of it when we see him now, if he's up...

"Did he really?" Wraen asked. "He underestimates her - Sarah is a rock. I would not be surprised if she was the last one standing after world's end," she said a bit light-heartedly. Survivalist jokes about her sister's tough nature were her specialty.

"What exactly happened to him and the bear?" she wanted to know more about the incident, because usually bears and wolves avoided each other. Her family had met some during their time spent traveling, but none of them had had any hostile intentions. They were minding their own business. "Is everyone else okay?"

Good to know, Hydra stated. Terance hadn't been wrong to worry, but she remembered his comparison to the situation she had endured. Hydra disagreed with that even still, and felt herself right for the way she viewed her sister and also her belief that Terance hadn't been wrong to do what he had to when it had rained. He wasn't leaving behind a child, after all.

When she asked about the bear, Hydra retold the events as she remembered them. There was a bear between my little sister and the pack. Terance came in a bit too hot and got hit pretty hard, she grimaced. Everyone else is okay now, though, thank gosh. He's just a bit out of it and his memory seems iffy. Best Wraen know that and not take his lack of making sense the wrong way.

Three minutes later, they arrived. Lyra was there looking after Terance, and Hydra moved alongside her. Wraen, this is my sister Lyra. @Lyra this is Wraen, Terance's sister! Hydra darted ahead. I'll leave you guys to it. I should get back to patrolling, and with that, Hydra turned on her heel and headed back to the borders. Lyra would handle the rest just fine.

ooc: I will add an ending to this. :)

Wraen got to know Lyra, who looked exactly like Hydra, except from some mannerisms. She found out that Terance - unfortunately - was in no shape for a renunion, because he was fast asleep. Therefore after getting all the details and reassurements that he was going to be fine and with a promise to return tomorrow, Wraen set out to look for a spot for the night.
