All Welcome
Ever since being introduced to Osprey and Drake, Vela's relationship with them had blossomed. Spending most of her time with them, the freckled girl had already gone on many adventures with them. They had established a fort in an abandoned den towards the base of the mountain, and that's where she currently was. Tucked away, and beating the Summer heat, Vela and her friends had spent the afternoon talking about whatever came to the Xi's mind.

"No, no, Galaxy is stinky," she assured them with a shake of her head.  Like Korei Julia, Vela had grown less fond of her sibling since her return. She got too much attention from Charon, and the eldest of the litter was not amused.

"Are you s-sure?" stuttered Osprey the troll, uncertain in Vela's conviction. "She seemed nice when I came to the den this morning." She looked to Osprey for assurance, and he nodded in response.

"No, she's got a stinky butt and has a fat head," she huffed, growing tired of the topic being about Galaxy-- as it always seemed to be."But she doesn't matter." Osprey nodded again, agreeing with Vela this time. "Let's go somewhere." She said, and she stood then, her attention turning from her friends and towards the entrance of the cave.

She had never strayed from the den site without an adult to accompany her, but when Vela slunk off on her own, Galaxy quickly followed her litter mate. She intended to keep her sister company, yet she couldn't seem to catch up to her. By the time she did close in on Vela's location, Galaxy realized she was totally lost. Although she was usually so carefree, she felt a little bit of fear grip her heart.

But the sound of Vela's voice reassured her and Galaxy scuttled toward it, only to stop and freeze at the sound of her own name. Her ears wilted when she heard Vela speak ill of her. Her lower lip wobbled and she took half-a-step backward, suddenly reluctant to engage with her sibling. Instead, the youth spun and tried to retrace her steps back up the mountain slopes.

Cameo!

The last few weeks Lyra had spent mostly either with Terance or out collecting herbs. If she had to be honest, most of her "healing" was really trial and error and the dark boy was her guinea pig (though of course she wouldn't admit that to him). She had already messed up a couple of times, including once when she accidentally applied a plant to his wound that caused him to snap completely out of his stupor with a yell of pain before falling unconscious once again. That plant was quickly tossed aside.

That afternoon found Lyra hiking the mountain, in search of a certain wild, golden flower which seemed to be helping with Terance's injuries. They looked better, at least. The sound of a familiar voice nearby caught her attention, however, and she stopped by a seemingly abandoned den, testing the air. The scent of her little sisters was strong here, Vela more-so than Galaxy. She frowned slightly, mentally berating Galaxy for straying from the den in her current state. Did Vela encourage her?

She slowly approached the opening of the cave, remembering her escapades with Hydra and Alya. They used to hold secret meetings all the time. They still did, but the were becoming increasingly infrequent. Perhaps it was because they weren't holed up in a single area of Moonspear anymore. Head low, unable to make out her little sister's voice anymore, Lyra gave a soft, friendly call, "you in there, Galaxy? Vela?"

Had Osprey and Drake been more compliant in their conversation, Vela would have crossed paths with Galaxy. But with Osprey being the voice of reason, Vela's exit from the fort had been delayed considerably. Though the conversation was behind them, Vela couldn't quite shake the irritation she felt towards Osprey. After all, she had to have known how much Galaxy had ruined things once she had miraculously returned. Vela had spent some time explaining what had happened and even with this, Osprey still sided with Galaxy! She didn't understand what was wrong with the kind-hearted troll.

It was as Vela ambled closer to the foyer of the den that an unexpected visitor called from outside. "Galaxy isn't allowed here!" she called to Lyra once she had stopped as she felt her blood begin to boil. Why did everybody have to bring her up? Vela had no idea what everybody's obsession with her was. She wasn't that great.

The small, pale form of Vela appeared quite suddenly and, with it, a sharp command. Lyra quirked her head, taken aback. Her little sister appeared angry, or at least had that sort of air around her. Was the anger directed at Galaxy? Lyra's first thought was that they had had a fight. It was a common event between Hydra and Korei (at least when they were younger). Maybe she was jealous? Galaxy had definitely got a lot more attention since the bear incident. It was for good reason, too, but she could see why Vela might be vexed by it all.

She decided not to press, not wanting to be on the receiving end of a tongue lashing. Vela seemed to have gotten some sassiness from Charon and Hydra. Whatever her little sister's beef was with Galaxy, Lyra also decided that perhaps she just needed some attention. She hadn't had much of a chance to do that with her baby siblings, anyway. "Okay, no smelly sisters," she said with a light-hearted wag of her tail. "Just you and me! Do you want to go exploring? I'll show you some cool spots!"

Vela quickly took to the idea and that seemed to perk her up a bit. Delighted — and relieved — with her sister's change of demeanour, Lyra motioned for them to take a path that twisted into the forests and led towards one of her favourite (and most secret) spots in Moonspear.
