Please reply at least once. There will be one more mandatory thread in BDP, and then the move will be done! Grayday just wants to know how everyone's feeling right now. If you want to be in the hunting thread later on, let me know here! IC or OOC indication is fine. @Khoe @Dawn @Howl @Heartha @Damascus @Dauntless @Lavender @Kieran Adrien @Sylvas Streiter
Travel had been trying on their most vulnerable - Grayday kept a close eye on Damascus and Heartha especially, as he worried after their compromised health. They were in no hurry, and the leader had often halted their party for a day or two, citing a need for the cubs to rest their stubby legs and allow their sore scruffs to heal. He, Khoe, and Sunspot carried the littlest three most often, although Grayday was always glad for a break when a pack mate volunteered, or when one of the cubs found enough energy and gumption to walk alongside the adults for a time.

They were stopped at the Emberwood this evening, weary from a long day of walking. He'd scented a rafter of turkeys nearby, and hoped that, after a bit of rest, he might convince a few wolves to head off on a short hunt. For now, though, there was nothing to do but relax.

"Halfway there," he encouraged, skimming a critical eye over the gathered wolves. "We can stop here for a while before going on, and from there, it'll only be a few days more. How's everyone feeling?"

Lavender was enjoying this trip a lot. Sometimes it was boring, one of the adults would pick her up and carry her, and she would have no choice which way or what she looked at. She wanted to investigate and sniff everything she came across, and when she was held like a sack of flour, she couldn't very well investigate. But then there were the other times where they let her walk. She would wag that stump of a tail and bound to every tree, silently checking them out with a smile on her face.

Now she sat next to her dad, snuggled up close to his leg. He opened his mouth to speak to the group, and she looked up at him to watch his mouth as he did so. She mimicked the shapes his mouth made, pretending like she was speaking along with him. Feeeling. She said in response to his question.

Heartha had been feeling rather tired from all of this walking, and she felt heavy. her own body was weighing her down. She had been pregnant more than once, but never while on the move, and for such a distance. However, when Grayday, being such a kindhearted wolf asked how everyone was feeling she did not want to make it feel like she was slowing everyone down.

However, the offer given she could not turn down so easily. "A bit...tired..." She didn't want to feel too stubborn, but would not say how tired she was unless asked directly. Lavender's response did make her smile however.

Howl is down to join the hunt

Howl had been following the pack at Heartha side for a majority of the trip. The pace was steady, slower then if he would have been traveling on his own. But he didn't mind it, he could tell it was tiring for Heartha as her breathing would change at time he thought he could hear faint noises of discomfort from her. He also had an incling that there was something off about Damascus. Howl didn't know them too much and hadn't really spoken to them at all on this journey.

They took a short break like they had done a few times inbetween. As Grayday spoke to the group Howl couldn't help but watch the little Lavender mouthing his words and finally speaking one of them. Heartha to his side explained that she was tired. Howl responded simply "I'm doing alright." and took a seat by Heartha side during the groups rest.
Howl is always open to some interesting plots.
Just PM me and we and plot and thread!

At first, the move had been exciting to Dauntless, but after several hours of trudging after the adults and being intermittently carried (which was actually rather uncomfortable now that the pups were getting bigger), he found that he just wanted to be back in the den. It took him a while to realize they would not be going back. His father showed no signs of turning around, and his whole countenance seemed to be pointed toward another location. Dauntless cried pitifully several times to his mother, but still they did not turn back.

When they finally arrived at their temporary destination, Dauntless was exhausted. As soon as he saw the rest of the pack beginning to settle down for a long rest, he moved toward Khoe and curled up next to her. He was not even able to answer his father's question. He was not quite asleep, but much too tired to do or say anything. Slowly, his tiny brown eyes began to close.

Kieran would love to be in the hunting thread!

Kieran had been determind to help out whoever he could along the journey, wanting to be helpful this time. The last time he had travelled, he had done little to help (but he was younger back then) and he planned to change that this time around. He'd been hunting small prey and giving it to other wolves in the pack each time they stopped for a rest - he felt like it was his duty, as a hunter, to do so, and didn't plan to back out. Besides, it wasn't like he hated it. Rather, the boy enjoyed it. The boy then cast his glance back toward the others, watching especially the pups. He had made sure to keep an eye on them, just incase one of the adults got distracted and lost sight of them. He'd never actually met the youngsters, but he knew to protect them. They were young pups, and couldn't defend themselves. He was sure the adults were able to protect them, but he wanted to help and it was better to be safe than sorry. He didn't get too close to them, because he wasn't sure whether or not Grayday or Khoe would be touchy with him going too close, but he did make certain to keep a watchful eye toward them.

They stopped to rest, and the young hunter was glad. He sat down for a moment, then padded over to where the leader was. He needed to speak with the grey male quickly. He gave a small smile before speaking. "Hey, um.. I know you've probably noticed that Gwen's gone. She told me to tell you that she's gone to try and find something. She doesn't know what, but she needs some time to find herself again, and whatever else it is she's searching for." Those were her words, roughly. He hadn't known the strange snowy wolfess, but it seemed she was some sort of depressed. Something had happened, he was sure, and he would have offered to help her, but she was set on leaving to go and 'find herself', which he respected.

Then he sat down a little bit away. He wasn't that tired. Well, his legs were, but his eyes weren't, so he didn't really want to sleep. Rather, he just decided to sit down for a little while. Maybe he'd talk with a packmate for a bit.

Grayday hummed in thought as he waited for the stragglers to catch up. It seemed that everyone was a bit tired, and that at least one of his daughters was far past her naptime. He herded the three toward Sunspot to be watched over and gently insinuated that Heartha should rest. To Howl and Kieran, Grayday gave a calculating look. Everyone was tired, but between the three of them, Day thought they'd be able to rustle up something to eat.

Kieran had something else on his mind. "Thank you for telling me," he said, thinking rather regretfully of the pale woman. Grayday couldn't help but feel that there was more he could've done for the woman. Maybe, they would cross paths again one day, and he would be able to put his worries to rest.

"Let's go find something to eat," he said with a soft sigh, shooting a querying look toward Sylvas. He did not wait for a response, but assumed that the other male would keep and eye on things while they found something to eat. Hopefully, nothing too strenuous would come up, and the male would be able to get some rest in as well.
