Offical claim howl! Fast forward for august 21st. @Seabreeze, @Delight, @Nova, @Trajan, @Malice, @Burke, @Uka

Tindómë rises. Their claim is solid, their grasp upon the kingdom they have built is firm and their numbers are strong. Anticipation builds within the empyrean’s breast as he makes his patrol rounds on the borders but he does not yet call out to howl, to invite his wolves to join in song with him to finalize their claim. There is a moment coming: he feels it in the marrow of his bones, in the charge of his nerves. The eclipse. It is coming. He has been watching the night sky for several day, noting when the constellations told him the position of the moon. The sun was high in the sky and he draws in a breath as he glimpses it through a break in the green canopy that stretches vastly before him, yawning into the neighboring territory of Silver Creek. He rubs himself against a tree that sits upon his borders, wincing only slightly as a tuft of fur snags upon the hard bark and is tugged loose. Bright, apple green gaze studies his path for a moment before he heads towards the heart of the forest in search of a place where he might better see the eclipse as it wanes nearer. He knows better than to look at it directly but his anticipation thrums in his veins as the moon creeps ever closer to the sun.

He finds a perfect spot: a small clearing close to where the King Elk has made his home directly in the forest’s heart. He gives the majestic elk his space and has yet to see the beast but he hopes they might cross paths soon and meet on amiable terms. They share this forest now, after all; but the elk is safe from the wolves of Tindómë. King Elk is the warden of this forest for it was his long before it was theirs and Mato has already decided that punishment would befall any wolf that raised tooth or claw to the warden of the forest …if the rumored wolf killer didn’t take action on his own, that was.

Shadows begin to form, swallowing the bright light of day and the druid’s breath catches in his throat as the omen of luck, of good things manifests in the sky. It takes much of his restraint not to look directly at the forming eclipse as the shadows grow, telling himself a glimpse would not be worth the possibility of going blind. Instead, he looks at it’s reflection in a nearby pond and marvels at the sight. Now is the time. The Morwinyon tips his head back and lets out a song of victory, a claim and a warning and beckons his wolves to join in, to add their voices to his claiming song.

Tindómë has risen.

With Burke's traveling pace it had taken days for them to arrive at the new territory. The old man wasn't that quick on his feet these days. It was a relief that there was so much distance between him and that damned Caldera. Sebastian could stay there all he wanted. He was going to live with his grandson. He could give him some advice on how to manage a pack and be an advisor. At least in Burke's mind, that was what he was going to do. He was familiar with some of the grounds as they traveled. It seemed to be in the same direction as Arthendal. Burke liked that it might be close to their old home.

Mato told him all about the King Elk that lived in the forest and that it shouldn't be hunted. Burke found it nonsense but he didn't speak against his grandson. If Mato believed that this elk should live Burke wouldn't touch it, besides had no intention of hunting deer especially not a big one. When they reached upon the forest Burke just felt relieved he made it. The forest was so serene. It felt old, just like he was. The male instantly felt at home here. He wiggled his docked tail. There was more of a spring in his stiff steps after he crossed the borders even though he was tired from the traveling. He knew he would bounce back after some rest.

The only thing that he didn't understand was why his grandson spoke in such a weird language at times. He would use strange words and when explaining the ranks to him they also sounded very complicated. Burke hoped that Mato wouldn't take it too strongly if he couldn't pronounce all the things he did. Burke was still Burke. He was not keen on learning new languages. He could always give it a whirl as he did like the structure of the pack. It was in a way like Arthendal and it supported working hard for one's rank. Burke always liked the idea of hard working. He was certain he would feel at home here.

After he arrived Mato howled. Burke made his way to his new alpha which was weirdly his young grandson. Though, Burke couldn't deny he had some form of a presence to him. Burke tried to remember what the name for alpha in this pack was, but he had forgotten. He felt as long as he understood the ranks he would be fine. Burke hobbled into the clearing and nodded his head in greeting. He planted his bunny butt down and howled with Mato to the weird sun.

Malice was quite... petty, sometimes. She had wanted to stay in the Caldera just to step on the nerves of all who wanted them gone. It was dumb, she knew - nothing for a smart woman like her. She could have gotten in serious trouble, dragging Burke along with her to the ground. Mato had been like a blessing, though his religion and ranks were hard to understand. It looked like it was a bit similar to their former home, only more complicated. And the King Elk? She wouldn't hunt it, no, but she didn't understand the sudden adoration for the beast. She listened with her mate to the explanations, the workings of the pack they were getting into. How was she supposed to visit Charon now?

She moved with Burke, slowly as to not make him go beyond his limits, until they arrived. Mato wasted no time, claiming the alpha rank (or what was it called again?) as the howl for their claiming rang through the old forest. She joined in, her raspy voice intertwining with those who had dared to come.

Trajan had his doubts. There are moments where he wonders if pledging himself to the boy king and staying in Teekon Wilds, the place of nightmares, was the right thing to do. More often than not, the conclusion he drew told him to leave immediately. Even he wasn't quite sure why he'd stayed despite all his misgivings - perhaps it had to do with the whispers in his dreams. The voice of Pluto, his patron god visited him in his thoughts and although Trajan was never quite sure what was said, he understood the general gist of it and had stayed.
When Mato's voice rings through the air, Trajan stays quiet only for a moment before he tilts his head, allowing his song to mix with those of his pack. His packmates. There is something strange about this situation that draws a smile onto the soldier's lips - he's part of a pack again. Perhaps this time, he would stay.
The Roman moves towards the sound of Mato's voice. When he arrives, he settles close to the others so his presence would be noted but not to disturb the other wolves already present. He sings again, and wonders at the strange feeling in the depths of his chest.

The fawn felt a disturbance in the force as the day grew longer.  In her bones, she knew something big was to happen today.  Once her duties were finished, she sought out her packmates and she noitced the daylight was — fading? — and the shadows grew longer and sharper as the temperature fell abruptly.

A call fell to the air, her Morwinyon's, and she rose her voice to match his claim and began a full gallop.  The closer she got to him, the more the shadows seemed to dance and the sea-dwelling wolf noticed that it looked as if the entire earth was underwater.

She broke into the clearing and noted that she was not the first one there, Mato's family had arrived as well and in a way it assured her.  Seabreeze's attention would fall on her leader, her Morwinyon as she waited for him to address his new pack.

The call rang out, but it took Uka a moment to realize that it had been meant for him, too. He could hear the heavy breaths of the others making their way to Mato, but he hung back, immersed in the foliage. It wasn't that he meant to be so distant, or so hesitant, but for whatever reason, Uka was uneasy. As a matter of fact, he was so shaky and nervous that for a moment, he thought he might faint in the midst of all that was happening.

I could make a run for it, he thought to himself, No one would think twice about where I'd gone. Even Uka knew that if he did run, he'd end up coming right back. There was something here that wanted commanded his presence, and he had every intention of finding out why. Maybe he was going crazy; yeah, that was it! None of this was real and would disappear just at the Blink! -- but when Uka opened his eyes again, they were still whispering.

He emerged on shaky legs, though stayed near the outskirts of the clearing. His eyes flickered to where Mato stood, then onto Seabreeze, and finally to the rest of the wolves who somehow felt miles away. Uka sang a weak song of promise, yet of fear, and waited for the next move.

phone post! just wanna make sure i get in here

there is something electric in the air and delight is here to witness it with sharp pale eyes. he has not witnessed an eclipse before but how auspicious, this nearly-mystical presence above as their silvery prince calls for them. the wisp is quick to find his way to his alpha, though others are quicker, and he scans the unfamiliar faces with a haughty curiousity. he'd have to meet them. but now there's something more important happening, and he tips his head back and adds his voice to the sweet song of tindómë.

Several voices rang out and Nova felt her heart fill to near bursting. What Mato had done was admirable - a true sign of ambition and the growth of their family and it's legacy. No doubt her parents would be proud, and she knew that Sebastian was no matter where Pearl had run off to. She heard the voices of her grandfather and his mate lift too, a surprising turn but one that still brought joy to her heart. Nova lifted her head and joined her voice to that of the others - feeling the strength of all of them, all joined together.

The heavens shifted, a miraculous event above and no doubt her brother thought the same as she did. They were blessed, chosen by this forest and it's King Elk and the heavens above.
