All Welcome
Potential join thread for Morningside.. so maybe a Morningside wolf?
With her ex-lover’s rise to leadership and his chosen mate’s assertion that his women were to be ousted from the pack, Vega had left without a second glance back. Her time in the Meadows had been enjoyable – perhaps the most she had ever felt at home in one land, but it bore her no torment to leave behind the drama that had begun to arise. Likewise, her two sons had followed suit with her – though promised to later catch up with her as they sought to expel their own wanderlust at the age of yearlings.

Vega once more found herself in Teekon Wilds, though she was uncertain as to why. A chuff was given as she scaled along the base of the mountains she had once lived within – steering clear of the vale within its depths, for there was nothing for her there any longer. She also avoided heading to the north, as well as the north east.

And so she found herself drifting along the length of a river as dusk fell across the lands, the flowing water drawing her to quench her thirst. Her ebony snout trailed along the bank edges before she sampled the refreshing water – but as the wind drifted to her, she realized how close she was to others. Blinking her bright green eyes, Vega swung her muzzle up and toward the plateau, her features unreadable as she considered her current situation.

Morningside has recently claimed the Blacktail Deer Plateau. My throughts are that their territory leads up to the river and that the river itself is somewhat like a natural border. So Howl won't think she's in the border, but she is still very close.

Howl was walking back to the territory from the first part of his expodition to try and find new members. He was asked to check in as frequently as possible and so that is what he was doing. For the sake of the pack and for the sake of his soon to be due pregnant mate. He was comming close to their border and with the wind he was greeted by the familiar scent of the pack, epecially Grayday and himself who had done their first round of border marking just a few days ago. He made a note that he should probably go over it once more before heading out again.

Just a few moments after he smelled the border another scent came to him one that was unfamiliar and not from the pack. An even greater reason to go over the borders again. Before him stood a female with her head down taking a drink of water from the river that ran just before the plateau began. Their territory was primarily on the plateau, but a small portion of Whitefish River and the valley surrounding the plateau had also been claimed by the pack. She wasn't necassarily in the territory, but it was still a bit too close for Howl's liking.

Howl was by no means a brute and this female didn't seem to have any alternative motives other then to grab a drink, but he couldn't very well tell that just by looking at her. At the sight of her he hurriedly ran up to her side, placing one of his front paws in front of where she was drinking in the water. "Excuse me ma'ma, but would you mind taking a few steps back?" he said in a calm authoritative voice that was not ment to sound hostile or aggresive.
Howl is always open to some interesting plots.

As she stared openly at the plateau before her, water droplets forming upon her chin as she considered what to do, the presence of another stirred her bright eyes to him, and while she was not within their territory, she was certainly in close proximity to their borders. Still – the dark wolf slid a paw before her, to the area she had been drinking before, as if to stop her and set his authority upon her. She felt her eyes narrow then – her hackles bristle.

She was not within his terrain – but here the stranger was, requesting she move back, as if he also laid claim to the river. Her eyes flashed from him to the emptiness behind him – for now, no pack to back him up. With a sweeping glance over the stranger, Vega complied -- he might not have had a pack behind him right now, but she wasn't about to start a skirmish she was unlikely to win. "Fine," she shot to him, her svelte form instantly beginning to wade in to the river and further from the plateau. The current was fast in some areas, but she kept closer to the banks.
Family is not an important thing. It is everything.

He'd been casually strolling along the rivers edge, silently patrolling the borders and keeping a look out over the vast terrain; like the mercenary did most days. And today, nothing seemed out of the ordinary as he slowly walked beside the fast flowing waters, his torn ears swivelling a top his lean head as he listened to the clear blue liquid rushing down-stream next to him. Sylvas peered occasionally to the river as he moved onwards, the sound and sights around him bringing a brief wash of tranquillity over the male as he peered around to gaze out once more across the plateau.

A bitter breeze gradually swept its way through the land, causing Sylvas' pelt to ripple involuntarily at its cold touch. The mercenary couldn't help but shudder some as he ventured on, paws stepping quickly as the Autumn winds continued to toy with his brown and grey mixed fur. The brute scented the air and instantly - there was something, something in the wind that had tugged at his interest. An unfamilair aroma lingered in the breeze, one of a female and the other a male (the male whom Sylvas vaguely knew as Howl) - coming from just up ahead.

Intrigued, the brown and grey male picked up the pace and began to jog in their general direction, his leathery nostrils flaring as he sniffed the air, following their scents down river. Having been swift on his paws, it hadn't taken the brute long till the sight of two wolves came into his eyes view - and Sylvas found his pale amber eyes drawn to the ebony stranger that Howl seemed to be confronting. He watched quietly, studying the other male's posure as he appeared to converse with the stranger over the river and slowly Syl began to make his way toward the pair, his smooth voice escaping his muzzle as he came close enough to greet them both, "Good day..." He said, offering a friendly smile, though his attention was now focused on the dark hued woman, "Is there anything we can help you with miss?"

hope you both don't mind x3

@Sylvas Streiter, Sorry you've been out of the loop waiting. Me and Rachel were figuring out where she was in relation to the territory.

Howl hadn't meant for his words to sound rude, but as she had been strolling on the side of the river closest to the plateau she was only a mere foot away from their border if that. He didn't mind her wanting to speak to the pack or simply grab a drink, but he was concerned about the well being of Heartha and his soon to come pup, if this female proved to be a threat. But luckily it seemed as though there would be no need for confrontation as the female moved from the bank of the river closest to the plateau to the other side.

As she crossed the river a semi familiar scent along with a face to match greeted both of them. Howl nodded to him with his greeting and proceeded to ask the female what it was they could do for her. Howl wanted to set the record straight. "I don't mean to sound rude, but you were very close to crossing our border." he stated and waited for her to answer the question Sylas asked.

Howl is always open to some interesting plots.
