All Welcome

Ceallach was getting used to the change of being on sand rather than on firm ground. He wasn't sinking and getting caught as much, meaning, he wasn't in as much of a foul mood. Oh, he was still the despondent child between whatever his father was being and his mother cold in the ground. He rarely left his last remaining sister's side but when he did it was usually to try hunting for the group. Today he had stolen away to the broken shores where odd ugly animals rested and warred. The sea lions were intimidating, and even at his most cocky, Ceallach was a pragmatic, smart child.

He wasn't pushing that boundary today.

He snorted as he dug into the soggy sand, pushing and moving some of the rocks ledged there to investigate some of the shells. He wasn't clean about it when he did find something - crunching on the shells noisily for a measly pay out. He nosed a large rock, digging beneath it a bit when something grabbed him and he let out a loud yelp, pulling back with a crab hanging from his snout.

Arrille thought about leaving. Going off on his own, away from the shore. But, that would mean leaving Maude alone, and Arrille couldn't do that. Not after all Maude had done for the boy. Despite this, Arrille was getting distance from Maude, going here and there away from where Maude and him had stopped for the time being.

Arrille spotted a wolf off in the distance. Looked to be close to his age, he thought, so he decided, why not chance a meeting? Although halfway through getting close to them, he stopped and paused, thinking about whether he should.
