a small read-only to explain @Melchior's absence from drageda. :-)

Eske is patrolling when she comes across Melchior’s scent and subconsciously follows it: her steps ceasing as comes across a sight of physical attack, drawing in a deep breath as she studies the scents, her guard hairs bristling at the nape of her neck with unease. Melchior is gone and if this aftermath is anything to go off of he was attacked by something large. There is no body and therefore no proof of his death but despite that there is hope that he is still alive, that he’s managed to escape the large predator that attacked him with Thuringwethil and the others still on their scouting mission she cannot spare the wolves to go in search of him. She has little choice but to trust that he can take care of himself and that he will find his way back to them, eventually; but she knows that she will have to inform Heda of her findings when the Commander returns regardless of how their search has gone. Eske strengthens the borders here, a warning to fellow wolves and non-wolves alike before she continues on with her patrol, vigilant for any signs that the large predator that had attacked one of their own might still be lurking.
