All Welcome
Wraen hadn't meant to wander this far away from Moonspear, but the rare sight of a deer herd grazing in the meadows not far from her home and then moving East, had seemed too valuable to let it go and forget about it. While she stalked after them, she reasoned with the guilt for leaving that her observations could be useful for the pack as whole. How long had it really been, since they had had a big and succesful hunt?

Therefore she walked and admired the big and beautiful (and tasty) animals from afar, taking in account each and every one, trying to figure out, which was weak and sickly enough to be taken off the game. The large creatures had noticed her but her being only one predator against 20 of them, did not seem to care about her presence. By the time the sun was beginning to set, Wraen took a look around for the first time and realized that in her haste and excitement, she really had no idea, which way the home was. With a puzzled look on her face, she stood in the meadow and looked around.

In the midst of the flatlands, a dusty wolf watched the horizon. The closer the sun came to setting, the higher July's anxiety rose. He wasn't particularly fond of fields, and the fact that he hadn't found food or shelter for the evening weighted his steps like trailing anchors. He had no destination and no looming task of importance, which only made him remember that the life of a loner did not suit him well at all. But he wore the burden with as much grace as he could manage, trying not to let his mind fill with a vast sense of uselessness and instead focusing on his own survival.

Except, singular survival was not a wolf's normal creed; so when he spotted another wolf— looking as lost as he felt— he approached without pausing to consider any detriment to his actions. He didn't need to. Any interaction, positive or negative, would be welcome by him.

July naturally brimmed with an unspoken confidence. He walked tall with his ears erect and his tail giving a neutral wag, but he hung back despite his eagerness to approach the grey creature. His hesitation seemed to be more for her benefit than his own, but he waited to see if she would take offense to his presence or not.

"Well, this is stupid," Wraen said to herself, choosing to use a jucier expression for another occasion (perhaps, when she would get to the point of panic and throwing angry fits for not being careful enough). She took some steps in one direction, sniffing the air carefully, then walked the opposite way, taking her time to examine the scent trail she had left behind.

The wind changed and with the next gust she caught a fresh smell of a foreign wolf, seconds later she heard his approaching footsteps and straightened herself to see the person coming. He appeared to be very confident until it some ten feet away from her and appeared to be unsure of how to proceed. Wraen wagged her tail a little in response and added with a polite smile: "I don't bite, do you?"

I don't bite, do you?

July canted his head thoughtfully, his expression crinkling mischievously as he considered both his true answer and the one that came out of his mouth. "Not at the moment," he assured the grey siren before  accepting her nonverbal invitation to come nearer. He swallowed the distance between them greedily, sparing little politeness as he finally greeted her up close and immediately went to invade her bubble with a wordlessly snuffling muzzle. He sought to explore the story  her scents carried with the forwardness of a trusting child, and he turned the bulk of his prodigious body towards her, offering for her to do the same.

The close vicinity of the other wolf was a little confusing in the beginning, therefore Wraen had to hold back the initial response to the bold trespasser in her personal space. She did not snap at him, but her body remained a little tense and ears were drawn back all the while the other was doing the examination.

When offered a chance to do the same, she simply leaned forward and took in as much scent as she could without actually taking a step closer. "You have come a far way?" she concluded.

They conversed for a while and after that their paths went different ways.
