Oystercatcher Tide Pools Cocktails on the rocks

She had wandered into a land she was unfamiliar with. Gracious hadn't been to the coast too often as a child, her parents more or less kept her and her siblings either in the den or just in the valley. Rarely were they allowed to actually go and explore on their own due to their parents' constant fears of them being caught and killed for their heritage and such. They had visited beaches perhaps only a couple times, but it was a short adventure rather than a peaceful vacation. All she could truly remember from her visits were the scents and sounds. The waves collapsing onto one another, but sometimes in the small palces she could find, the tide would gently lap against the sand and lull her into her dreamy thoughts. The scent of sea salt would wrap around her and whisper sweet nothings into her nose. Perhaps it was those golden moments that made her so eager to travel to the coast first after she entered the new land.

Gracious could feel the wind nip at her a little. The snow hadn't started yet luckily, though the lack of sun did make the air a bit chillier. She didn't mind too much though, Gracious was focusing on other things, such as the destination in front of her. It wasn't just one, but a large formation at the end that made it contrast greatly with the bright sand beneath her paws. She took interest in it and didn't hesitate to go and find out what it was. Surprisingly, Gracious felt herself become surrounded by sealife she had never seen before. Things like seastars, mollusks, and even small fish that she hadn't tasted made her extremely curious to try them, but also, just examine them. She was no naturalist, but it would be an interesting job to do, no? The woman gently walked on top of the tidepools, careful to watchwhere she stepped. Luckily for her, the tide was down, making these pools accessible.

She first went for the starfish, bumping some of them with her nose gently and giving them a gentle whiff. They didn't move very much, making the lady tilt her head and try to bite at one. The taste wasn't very appealing to her, not to mention she wasn't even able to get a good enough grip to rip the pointed creature off its rock. She decided to leave it be and search for new creatures, opening a window of opportunity for someone to come and drop in on the misty gal.
