Follow the Leader

@Silvermane. I would suggest looking up the description of the island on the Sequoia Coast Territory List thing first so that you know how to properly respond to the thread and stuff.

Majesty tugged himself up out of the water. The tide had not been as low as the last few times he had come here, so they had had to walk across a sandbar deeper underwater. Majesty was wet up to his belly. But he didn't mind. He was too excited to be showing Silvermane around to really care, even when sand stuck to his paws and the fur on his legs. He knew there was a freshwater inlet nearby, in the forest, where they could wash off.

He turned to look over his shoulder at his silver-white companion. "You coming, slow-poke?" he teased. "I want to show you the forest first. It has a small freshwater inlet where we can wash off the sand. And it's a good fishing spot!"

Just to say, if you want to powerplay, when it is necessary like the two are walking and they had to make a turn, it is OK with me, just to make things easier.

As Silvermane followed the Alpha, he had to shake off the salt that had seeped into his fur. He did not have the greatest of experiences here, as since he did not know the places he went into a-lot of conflict, now he knew to stay away from drinking saltwater. He disliked the sand on his paws, as it churned. But he decided that he would get used to it, after some time and all.

As Majesty spoke, Silvermane's eyes lit up. "Freshwater?", he was happy to finally hear something that he actually knew what it was, and he was actually happy to try and fish, as it was a very long time since he had eaten fish, he even forgot the taste!

Majesty smiled at his friend, glad that Silvermane was so enthusiastic. (Though he had to hold back laughter as he watched the white male make a face at all the sand stuck to his paws). "Yes," he replied. "Fresh water. The kind you can drink, in case you - y'know - didn't know." At this, the chocolate-brown male broke out into laughter. He was beginning to discover quite the sense of humor within himself, and it came as a pleasant surprise. Perhaps it is simply a matter of being around the right wolves, he thought.

"This way," he said to Silvermane, after he had had a good laugh. And he led the way into the forest. After a time, they came across the freshwater inlet he had found on his first venture to the island. Although the water was cold, since it was nighttime, he gratefully sunk his body into the water, letting the current wash the sand away, and scaring off all the nearby fish.

The sights and sounds of the island at night were Heaven to Majesty's ears. He was so glad to be back, and so intensely focusing on being here, that he nearly forgot about Silvermane. Then he shook himself out of his thoughts and said, "Go ahead and have a look around if you want to. Or come on in. The water is a bit cool, but it feels nice to me. The current isn't very strong, but it's sucking off all the sand, which you might appreciate." He gave another laugh at the running joke, and then was quiet, enjoying the feel of the water running through his fur.

sorry for the not-so-great writing.. I'm tired as f$#k! Thanks to the Mosquitos -_- oh and btw the poppy seeds part is about another thread...

Silvermane was fairly annoyed, but still happy that his friend was in a good mood. It must be the place that was increasing Majesty's happiness. "Hey!" he barked jokingly as his Leader made a pun on Silvermane's knowledge, a wide smirk appearing on Silvermane's white face as the chocolate wolf was laughing. Nevertheless he kept following.

As they arrived to the small, damp , freshwater inlet that Majesty decided to swim in. It was nighttime, and the last time he went swimming during midnight was...Oh, god... he started to remember what happened while he was under the hallucinating side-effects of his daily dose of poppy seeds and catnip. He felt extremely dirty, and decided to belly-slam into the water, to distract his sense of thought. Hoping that Majesty did not see his facial expression. Yet luckily for him, the water almost dissolved his thoughts as he tried to think of something else.

"Nah I'll swim a bit, I don't want to get lost again" he said, remembering what happened when they arrived on the island. "Are you thinking of getting a mate anytime soon? As the new female-alpha?" he teased his friend, hoping to get even from his humiliation before.

Okay, now I'm super curious about what happened to Silvermane last time he went swimming at midnight while hallucinating. Is there a thread you could link me to? O.o Also, I'm trying out a new writing look. Tell me what you think.

Majesty felt heat come up into his face at the mention of a mate. He only knew a few females. Those being: Jinx (who was taken, and he wouldn't want to be with her, anyways, Cara (who showed a bit of interest but who had turned down his offer of joining his new pack), Tyrande (who he wasn't quite sure what to think about), and Blue Willow (who was part of another pack, though she seemed quite nice).

"I don't - I don't think so," he said quickly. "Right now I want my focus to remain solely on the creation of the pack. Maybe after it has formed I can start thinking about having a mate, though I wouldn't know who to choose." He glanced at Silvermane, and saw the wide grin plastered on the white wolf's face. He rolled his eyes, knowing his friend was teasing him - and it was working.

"What about you? Do you have anyone special?" he asked, trying to steer the conversation away from himself.

I like the new style of writing! Hope you like my new table :D But srs, I dont think the thread is there anymore.. :/ Probably dead now... since the ending was not fully finished XD

Sorry this is so late! I actually kinda forgot about this thread…

Majesty looked around as the water continued to flow over his fur. "Yes. It is sort of like a lounge, isn't it? Perhaps we could make this our regular place to talk? And have meetings here, maybe?" He shrugged.

"What now?" he asked Silvermane. It felt as if they had run out of things to talk about. He looked around, trying to focus his mind on a topic of conversation, but nothing was coming to mind…

Thanks so much for not killing the thread! Though it will go quick, I promise it wont take too much of your time ^_^

Silvermane nodded, he liked the idea of chilling by the small inlet that they arrived to, it was sort of cozy, yet neat at the same time.

"I dont know, anything crazy happen lately?" He asked, also getting slightly confused of what to say, his mind was slowly running out of things to say, cheesy or not.

Majesty laughed. "Crazy?" he said. "I don't think so, no. Unless you can count getting together a group of wolves and almost having a pack crazy. I am utterly excited to begin calling this place my home." He sighed contentedly, looking around. "I think we've had enough time looking around, wouldn't you say?"

He stood and shook the water from his fur. "I'll probably sleep here tonight. No sense in leaving the island. I might as well get used to the sound of the waves, though I have a feeling I will love the sound." He chuckled, and the sound reverberated from his chest. "Where will you sleep tonight, Silvermane?"

Alright, this will be either my last or second last post..

Silvermane nodded as Majesty spoke "You're right, not a lot to see when it's pitch black " he said, smiling. The sweet water he was in felt marvelous in comparison to the sea, even if he was relaxed, he knew he was not tired.

"In all honesty, I don't think I will sleep. I tend to have mild cases of insomnia... Sometimes rising to severe, but not something that will kill me" he sighed. It was many days since he last slept, only bloodlust was keeping him active during the day.

Majesty hmm'd in response to Silvermane's professed insomnia. He stood, and tried to think of a way to help his friend. "Well…" he started. "When I can't sleep, I go for a run. I find it helps clear the mind and tire the body. And when I feel myself beginning to get drowsy, I pick the nearest safe place and curl up right there, before my body has a chance to wake up again."

He stepped up out of the water, shaking it from his fur as best he could. "You might try that. Now," he gave a bow, "I bid you good night. And I give you my thanks for exploring the island with me. Soon enough, we shall have our pack, and you are part of the reason why. Don't forget that. I owe you much for helping me."

With a last bow to his friend, Majesty went deeper into the forest, found a place to sleep for the night, and curled up, dreaming of being an Alpha…
