All Welcome
It's a hushie boy @Thuringwethil but AW

Hush stuck out his head from his den's entrance with a long, drawn out, and overly dramatic yawn. He enjoyed seeing the air spew from his mouth, visualized by the cold winter atmosphere. His tail wagged behind him in the little dugout he had lived in since spring, his steps dancing, trying to warm his frozen joints.

He had done little in the months from early summer to early winter. And he had admonished himself for it time and time again. He did not join when Wildfire disappeared, nor did he when they found her south at her natal home of the Caldera. He could not explain why, neither verbally (which was impossible) or mentally to himself. He had defended their home, a silent sentinal against any intruder, hunting when he could and marking the border. But it was time that he did more, interacted with the others and became a proper member of Drageda once more.

From his snow-clad den he burst forth, breaking the newly fallen snow. He ran in circles, trampling down the white powder until it was flat and the entrance of his home was clearly seen. It looked ridiculous, but Hush could not afford to lose sight of his den. The markers he normally used were covered in a layer of white, so he resorted to his next best thing: yellow snow.

portia actually hadn't meant to come across hush, who she hadn't seem in quite some time. she'd been so busy with her beloved dalia and gossiping to others about her poor, poor sirio, that she'd almost entirely forgotten about the mute-- he just wasn't that memorable to her. and perhaps it sounded bad when you put it like that, but she and hush had very few similar interests. and, beyond that, their roles in the pack hardly crossed. he hadn't come with on the wildfire expedition, she couldn't remember seeing him around the time she'd given birth... she didn't have many reasons to pay attention to him.

besides, she had her own man now, and she'd focused less on making and keeping male acquaintances.

but today she accidentally crossed his path-- with a bundle of half-dead marigold leaves in her jaws, portia watched as hush romped around in the snow, trampling it down, before beginning to pee all over it. ears pricked-- wildly curious of what was happening-- the fisa stuck around to watch.

His first instinct was to cover his tracks with snow, but the bright yellow frozen water was one of the few ways he would remember where his den was. He circled around it, unsure what else to do to mark the place — other than just wildly pissing everywhere, which would be rather uncouth.

He dug into his den, surfacing with bones and debris from the meals he had taken home with him. He scattered them in a wild but deliberate manner, circled around the den once more before nodding to himself. He didn't see Portia until he started walking away. He snorted to her in greetings, his tail wagging.

of all the wolves to come upon this, portia was probably the most understanding. it was strange, sure, and the fisa was incredibly curious of whatever method hush had to his madness-- but she too had her own place marked with plants and rocks and vines and skulls filled with various seeds or trinkets. she understood.

when he took notice to her, she grinned, tail waving. "hey, hun!" she purred, tail wagging, "i see you've got your paws full today." she knew hush couldn't answer, but it was still well worth her time to acknowledge his wild scattering and peeing.

Hush smiled at her, his grin matching hers as she matched his own body language. Hush , while he didn't interact with her much, still admired her for what she did for the entire pack. It had to be hard, having to remember all of those plants and what they did, having to administer them as well. On top of being a mother and mate now? It must be hard work. Perhaps it wasn't to her, but it seemed that way to him.

Hush nodded again, snorting once more to release the snow still stuck in his nostrils before he neared her, nudging her chin with his muzzle and gently licking underneath.
