All Welcome
All welcome. She's also close to the borders if any loners wanna pop in. :)

As each day pass, Thuringwethil feels more and more confident that Drageda can handle the absence again from many of their wolves. Eske has chosen to stay back, much to her displeasure, but she’s confident enough in the rest of them, especially if she can get one of the newer wolves to tag along. Part of her wants to take Arrille with her to see what comes of it, but in part because she doesn’t trust him enough to leave him behind yet. Blixen and the others would keep a watchful eye on him in her absence if she chose to leave him behind but the decision will come to her eventually.

She moves quietly through the redwood forest, distant enough from the thick of the borders that any onlookers on the other side of the tree-line would miss her, but close enough she can get a good whiff of anything close by. In the late afternoon sun, she's able to stride easily between shadows until she's come across what she's looking for. Any of the regulars on border patrol are easily noted, with Arrille mixed in, and she is curious how all the new wolves are settling in. Before they are given a proper place within Drageda, she decides any fresh scent will be followed until she is led to one of them.

Seri was exploring the redwoods. Getting a better feel for the terrain around the border. There was a thin layer of snow on the ground, almost the same color as Seri's coat. But with the trees around her, it would be easy to see her white and silver coat passing by.

She wanted to know what kinds of prey resided within the territory. With her being so new she didn't want to step outside of the territory just yet, even though she always had that earge to go exploring. Luckily for her there place was still new to her and there was plenty to find out and explore right here.

She was following the scent of what she thought was a squirrel, but the trail stopped short at the trunk of a tree. That was the one hard thing about hunting squirrels, their ability to escape up a tree where Seri couldn't reach. She stared up the tree looking to see if she might catch a glimps of the little guy and wait him out.

It doesn’t take long for her to locate one scent, leading her to one she spent only a brief amount of time on. She’d been more focused on the male and what she could discover from him than trying to find out what Seri is really capable of. She’d been eager to prove herself and she’d been given her benefit of the doubt but it doesn’t give her a pass. When she’s able to zero in on the smell, only to find her standing at the base of the tree and staring up, she stares in confusion. She isn’t the first wolf she’s found staring up at trees but usually she has a little more context. Slowly, Thuringwethil closes the distance, her feet careful on the hard ground to keep her quiet until she comes to a stop a few yards away, though not necessarily out of view, but quiet enough not to draw too much attention to herself.

As she stared up at the tree she began to hear sometime approaching from her side. She glanced over to see the heda looking at her curiously. She was about to speak to her when a bit of snow fell from one of the branches. Looking up at where it had fallen from, Seri could see the squirrel she was stalking crossing over to another tree.

She was still eager to show the heda that she could be useful, and so instead of leaving the squirrel be she thought she might how the heda what she could do. Or at least what she could hunt. Hunting a squirrel may not be all the impressive, but Seri hoped that with her age she might get a few reputation points her way.

She glanced over at the heda again before lowering her stance as she trailed the squirrel over a couple trees. Giving the squirrel plenty of space to think it wasn't being followed and making sure that the two didn't accidentally make eye contact. A few trees later the squirrel found the confidence to retreat down the trunk of the tree, digging though the snow for a place he hid his nuts months prior. When it's head was burried in the snow, Seri thought this would be the perfect time to strike. With herself lowered she look slow steps towards her prey before lunging after it. The squirrel saw her coming and began to flee, but not soon enough as Seri got hold of it's head and bit down hard, crushing it's skull and killing it.

She turned back in the direct of the heda and asked. "Hi. Do you have time to show me there the cache is?" she asked, wanting to put her catch within it.

When Seri goes back to what she’s doing, Thuringwethil decides not to interrupt. Whatever it is takes precedent over her presence, likely in the middle of something. She begins to turn, paying no more mind to what she’s doing, and scout out a path to her next stop.

Before she gets too far, there is a commotion and she looks back to see her scuffle with the squirrel some yards away, trotting back with a (meager) victory between her teeth. “There is one a little ways northwest,” she says and points her nose between a section of trees. It’s probably the closest one, though they don’t typically keep them close to the border. After the incident with the loner a few months ago, they’d tightened up where they stored their things.

The heda didn't seem too impressed, though it was just a squirrel. But it wasn't the squirrel that matter, Seri thought it would be good to show that she wanted to contribute to the pack and it's caches. But the responce seemed neutral or indifferent. She told her where one of the caches was and pointed in that direction saying nothing more.

She nodded to what she was saying and said "Alright." as she looked in that direction. But she didn't simply want the conversation to end there, she wanted to know a bit about the leader of this pack. The other leader of her first pack after Silver Creek was rather brutish and intimidating to Seri. But she was young and he chracterized as a gangster.

She thought to continue the conversation seeing where it might lead. "So you guys have more then one cache... How many different ones?" she asked. She knew what caches were, but had only been in packs were there was one large one rather then several.

Seri continues on about the caches, asking about where the others are, and she is quiet for a moment. Perhaps she’s taken advantage of the fact she lives here and knows where they are, knows their markers and identification and that they are not too hard to find. As she’s about to open her mouth and say something, a howl rings in the air and one ear flicks with slight irritation. Not particularly invested into the current conversation since Seri has what she needs for the most part, she smiles apologetically and briefly explains the ones closest and how they are marked. After a moment, she quietly dismisses herself to attend to other matters.
