All Welcome
Woot, AW! August's first thread back in the Teekon :)

Her light paws drifted gracefully across the snow-topped ground, lithe body moving swiftly toward the Creek. Her ears were perked atop her head, earlier anxiety having been replaced with a wave of comfort that she seemed to be alone. For now, the thought taunted her, but still no scents of wolves remained. If she strained enough, perhaps she might pick up the faded trace of the pack that had once claimed this land, but for now it went unnoticed. Closer she swept, tail brushing her legs as she padded forward, pace slowing slightly.

The creek was in front of her now, water showing signs that it would freeze over. In fact, parts of it already had, and the ice that lingered in places send flickers of worry in the Maiden's heart. Ice was not something she enjoyed - for it was dangerous. Not even the Banrion's words could change her opinion on the sharp, cold frozen water. Never would she trust it. Yet still she stood at the side of the creek, head beginning to lower to take gentle laps at the chilled liquid.

hello! this looked lonely. do you mind if we bump it to present?

silver creek.
there had been many reasons for Casmir to return to the Teekon, but the foremost was that Cortland and Mona were now old enough to understand the physicality of their family history. The Mayfair did not hold much hope that his sisters and brother remained in these lands, but he could show his children the Plateau, where Donnelaith had stood, and the Creek where they'd been born.
the journey had been long, marked as it was by all manner of snowfall, but when he had brought his family to the empty creeklands, the scents of Spring and Heston long since wiped away, Casmir stood in its center and closed his eyes, lifting his muzzle to the air wherein snowflakes swirled.
later that day, he went out to scout his old haunts, and thirst drove him to the place's namesake. and yet here was a stranger. Casmir knew he had no right to be protective over the Creek; that it had been his home so long ago did not matter now. but he regarded the blonde wolfess with a cool eye, moving into the water with a deliberate and heavy step.

Thanks for joining! That's fine :)

She was enveloped in her own thoughts as she lapped at the cool water, blonde tail swaying gently behind her. It was as the wind drifted that scent toward her that he head rose and her eyes widened. She hadn't thought anyone was around - perhaps it was her own fault for ignoring her surroudings more than she should have. August sent him a wary stare, shuffling a little further away as she felt the nerves grow in her stomach.

Just ignore him, he'll leave you alone, right? She focused again on the water.

casmir lifted his broad muzzle, droplets falling back into the creek from his chinfur, and watched the woman with his burning eyes as she moved away. her wariness was not unwarranted, but it annoyed the mayfair to no end, and presently he ran his tongue along the ridges of his teeth.
yet as quickly as his anger had started, it ended; the wind went out his proverbial sails in a huff of steam from his nostrils, and he shook out his ruff. "hey," he called to her across the waters, hoping his jerky attitude hadn't ruined this meeting. "where are we?"
