All Welcome
For @Bunyip, but AW.
Finally, finally they'd made it out of that mess of a forest. It would take forever to get all the debris out of her fluffy coat, especially at this time of year. She sighed as she preened herself for a moment but was just grateful to be free. Amabilia glanced over her shoulder to make sure Bunyip was still following but found her legs still moving forwards, dying to be able to move more freely and see this mystical "swamp" he told her of.

As she walked, the ground beneath her feet became soft and moist, giving easily under her weight. The land before her seemed to be heavily saturated with water, which she assumed was the case beneath her, too. Some places were deeper, allowing for pockets of water to collect, but there was still an abundance of plants here—mostly grasses and shrubs. Most trees she could spot were knocked over, others were standing but still dead. Furrowing her brow, she asked, What is this? Amabilia's tone wasn't the most pleased, as this place wasn't the prettiest she'd ever seen. Still, it was new and therefore exciting. Anything was better than the place she just came out of, anyway.

Lennon’s ventures hadn’t ceased, and for the most part he was managing well. Occasionally the cold became almost unbearable, but he would just sing a tune and he would be distracted almost instantly. He hadn’t noticed his cross from the valley into taiga yet, despite their distinct differences. His songs truly did grip the young male and throw him into another world. When I get older, losing my head, many years from now. His tail bounced around with the melody. Every step had no purpose, forward, background, they were all the same. He had no intention, only to (maybe) find some company for a short while, if not he’d carry on.

He wasn't pulled out out of his self-induced trance until he heard another voice, his ears lifted in its direction. His gleaming chestnut eyes following, and placing himself upon a snow pelted wolf, not very far away. It was likely she had noticed him long before the vice versa. The boy tilted his head in interest, but also puzzlement. ”What do you mean?” It wasn’t the most formal introduction into a conversation, but he was too charmed by her comment to make a better one. His subtle accent made it clear he wasn’t from near, but it wasn’t thick enough to be somewhere extremely far either.

He was never too far from his ghost friend. Perhaps he strayed here and there but always within barking distance. Granted he had missed her question but the rustle of another voice conjured the short, chubby male. His ears alert as he eyed the stranger. He looked like some forest dweller with all those brown shades. Or perhaps he was apart of the murky swamp dwellers too. Not a typical monster.

And what do you mean? A rust-tinted brow raising with sharpness. From what he knew (or heard), Amabilia hadn't said anything. Which left the question from the stranger seeming out of place and unprompted. Needless to say, Bunyip was a little protective of his ghost friend. They still had business to attend to after all.
minor pp is always okay (no fatal/death)

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a figure moving towards her. Upon closer inspection, she recognized it as another wolf, but he didn't appear to mean any ill-will. Before she could greet him, he asked her what she meant. Well, she'd been talking to Bunyip, but seeing as he hadn't responded, she figured he'd strayed off again.

Since Bunyip wasn't there to answer, Amabilia opened her mouth to speak when he finally appeared and flipped the question on the stranger. She blinked and looked to Bunyip with a frown but asked regardless, I've never seen a place like this before. What is it? It doesn't quite look like that 'swamp' you told me about. Her tone carried pure curiosity. She was also curious of where the unfamiliar male was from, as his accent was unfamiliar, but she should take things one step at a time.
