All Welcome
After a morning full of song and laughter with her companions, Siri had struck out on her own. The crash of the waves and call of gulls were as precious to her as the voices of her family, and at any given time, she might crave one or the other. This was why she rarely travelled inland without her brother and sister's company, prefering to stick to the coastline where things felt a bit more like home.

But Sirimiri was not afraid to be alone. There was something about the cold, winter air and bright, twinkling stars that seemed far more profound when witnessed unescorted. When there was only her own heartbeat to keep her company, Siri felt small and insignificant in comparison to the great, wide world. It set her heart aching terribly, beautifully.

The streamlined shewolf strolled through the still landscape, coming to stand near the cliff's edge. When she was small, her father used to tell stories about how the moon and stars made it all the way up into the sky. The idea of such drivel brought a little smile to her face. She stared up a moment longer before turning away and trotting back toward the center of the plateau. The morning's fare had been satisfying, but as her cycle drew near, she craved warm-blooded creatures more and more.
