All Welcome
she's literally going to walk right up to the dens.

Bhageera had some fun in that pack she had trespassed on. It would seem that the cure for boredom was to annoy and piss off the wolves and other creatures in the area. So when the absolutely disgusting scent of wolf piss assaulted her nose again, she strolled right over the borders. She followed the scents of the mutts till she was literally standing directly in the center of their den area.

Looking around she smiled and sat down, lifting a paw to her maw and beginning to lick at it casually. As her paw was covered in saliva she lifted it and dragged it over her fur. She had to look good, but then again she always looked super fly. Once done grooming herself she began to poke around the dens "Where's all the big bad wolves?" She called out, her small tail wiggling behind her excitedly.

After the recent trespasser had encountered Dauntless, the girl was on edge, pacing their borders, marking and remarking. It was why, perhaps, that the mere sight of something foreign in their rendezvous had her charge without bothering to ask questions, gaze aglow with molten anger and hackles a stiff crown upon her nape. Roaring growl broke its way through her parted fangs as she made a wild lunge for the creature's flank, seeking only to sate the cry that bade her riptearmaim and sate the incredible anger, both pent up and fresh, that surged through her veins at the sight of the cat so near to where her sibling's slept.

Grayday, still sick and bleary, was roused by the sound of his daughter's battle cry. It took him mere seconds to scramble to his paws and swing toward the sound of a fight. Knowing that Dawn was near, he couldn't simply lunge for anything alive and grab it - instead, he pushed his face into the fray, knowing he'd be able to tell his daughter's fur from the stench of the cat's.

He'd keep after the pair, and at the first opporunity, would try to grab and hold a chunk of the cat.

And suddenly the big bad wolves appeared, at first it was a girl and as Bhaggy felt teeth on her flank she whirled around claws unsheathed and slapped the girl across the cheek. She didn't wake her claws down the flesh but the stab of her claws would be enough for pain. Just as she was about to leap away another set of teeth clamped down on her flank and she yowled.

With her free hind leg she kicked backwards trying to claw at the others leg and chest. She pulled away and turned her head, hissing and aiming another bite at the elder wolf. "Where's the fucking hospitality?" She shouted, even in the midst of a fight where she could probably die she was able to produce sarcasm.

The cat aimed a paw for the girl's face, and for a fleeting moment she held her breath, ready for the pain that would surely follow. But it did not come, rather, simply the whack of a paw to the side of her muzzle that did little damage. Blinking at the stupidity of the cat, she did not think much of it before she lunged again, fangs reaching for the back of the cat's scruff as it seemed distracted with snapping at her father. Should her well-aimed grip find its place, she'd rip the cat away and do her best to throttle the thing.

Raid has always bore a strange obsession with border patrolling. It is this simple fact that brings her to the borders today and allows her to detect the strange scent lingering in the air. Raid pauses, fear crawling up her throat as she blinks and sniffs again. Oh, god. She's swallowing bile or something as she turns and scrambles towards the rendezvous, paws tripping over one another as she half runs, half trips her way to the site. Dawn is already there, as is Grayday and for a moment, Raid is paralysed. She shakes herself out of it fast enough, however, and rushes into the scene, jaws wide and snapping as she attempts to help Dawn without getting in the way of the other girl and tear the cat away from Grayday.

Grayday fought with the voracity of a wolf with little left to lose. He protected his throat, but his face and body was open to attack as he charged after the intruder, paying no mind to whatever it was saying. It'd been too close to the kids, and Grayday would kill it if he could.

His ears flickered toward the approach of another, but his focus remained on the cat. He knew it was attached to him somewhere, but the pain wouldn't hit him until later on. For now, he was intent on dealing as much damage to the cat as he possibly could, and hopefully leaving a mental scar so deep that it would run at the mere scent of his family.

Three now. There were three. Now she began to fear that she would die here today and the fear made her freeze up for a moment. She was yanked backwards her grip on graydays shoulder releasing with ease. As soon as she was pulled she rolled over onto her back and began to kick out at the faces of the wolves over her. Hind legs kicking and forelegs flailing this time claws unsheathed and ready for damage. She kept her head tucked to her chest, loud yowls and hisses of rage and terror echoing throughout the territory. "Let me go, I didn't do anything but sniff around, let me go!" She hissed repeatedly and thrashed on the ground. Had she known that she'd be attacked mercilessly she'd have been a bit more cautious. She'd probably still have crossed, but at least she'd have been ready for this.

The cat's claws managed to catch her chest, and she hissed as they dragged through her fur and flesh. She lunged forward, aiming to deliver a sharp bite to the cat's flank and shove it onto its feet. "run." She hissed through bared teeth, less concerned with maiming the thing or killing it, and more so with getting it out of the territory with a few extra scars to ensure that it wouldn't return. Raid had joined them at some point during the fray, severely outnumbering the cat; if they wanted, they ought to be able to kill it easily.

And maybe it's stupid, but even through the haziness of battle and the fire of adrenaline surging through her veins, Raid hears the cat loud and clear and shamefully enough, feels her heart clench just a little bit. It's stupid. She knows it is. But she doesn't want to be a killer to someone who hasn't done any damange yet, per se, and though her claws and fangs still search for purchase with no intent on stopping whatsoever, there is a clearness in her amber gaze. A clearness which remains even when the cat's claws drag across her left cheek, sinking deep into the flesh and drawing out a line of crimson blood. It burns and Raid knows it'll leave a scar, no doubt.

Dawn didn't seem keen on holding onto the pointy creature, either. She ordered it out of the territory, and Grayday backed up her decree with a few savage barks. Hopefully, the cat would be smart and scram before they got ahold of it again. It'd be painful business to have to kill it, but they'd do it if they had to.

"Raid - go check on the kids," he commanded.

A sharp pain burned her flank as the grey girl bit into her and she spat again before twisting and rolling away, scrambling to her paws. The same girl growled at her to run and without needing to be told twice she gave them one last shaken look and bolted toward the borders the same way she came. Her wounds burned and bled but once she was away she'd lick them clean. One thing was for sure, she'd never come back near this mountain pack again. Or at least not for quite some time.

The cat sped off, and she added a sharp bark, born more out of anger than a desire to keep the cat running, to her father's symphony. She twisted back, knowing quickly that nothing was terribly wrong with her; scratches healed. Turning instead to her father, she looked him over, asking quickly, "are you alright?" Her gaze moved to Raid, too, as she moved off the check on the pups; luckily, she seemed only about as injured as herself. Watching the chocolate woman go for a moment, she turned back to her father, adrenaline fading. "there has to be something wrong with this place. our borders are clear - and yet things like that keep happening."  The word was spat with residual anger, and her tail tip flicked with irritation.

Grayday's quick command is not ignored and with once last glance at the father and the daughter, Raid speeds off, paws thrumming hard against the ground as she runs - trying to get to the pups as fast as she possibly can. Though she sincerely doubts the cat has done them any damage, the possibility is always there and she has to, needs to know that everyone is fine. They are, and Raid's heart calms, its erratic beating slowing down just a fraction as she pants, struggling to regain breath. Though her breaths or heartbeat has hardly began to settle before she's off again, skidding to a halt in front of the pair. "They're all fine. Nobody's hurt, I don't think." In all honesty, it's less of the kids safety (though that obviously matters to Raiden) that has her so anxious, but rather what it would imply if the kids are not safe - it'd be her fault for being so wrapped up in her problems and thus, neglecting her pack duties. It'd be her fault, and Raid's not sure she can take that just yet, take that emotional burden on top of all her other unsolved ones. Pragmatically, there's also the issue of home - it's winter, it wouldn't be wise to leave just yet, which she inevitably would've done if someone got hurt. In some ways, it's selfish of her to take up the responsibilities of border patrol as hers, and hers only, but Raid does not know what else she contributes to the pack, given that Pema seems to have the healer position filled and is doing fine. She needs this, needs this one role - for now, until winter is over, at least.

Once it was clear that the cat would not be circling back to them, Grayday began moving in the direction Raid had gone, intent on meeting up with her if she was on her way back, or providing back-up if it was necessary. He let out a sigh of relief when she returned with good news.

"Thanks. Sorry if I snapped at you," he said, plopping down on his hindquarters where he stood. "Can you take a look at Dawn? I think I'm alright for now."

He was irritated beyond belief that something like this had happened again. Dawn had it right - there was something going on in this area.

"We were already planning to move again in the spring," he said to his daughter. "We'll need to move it up to late winter if spring takes much longer, though."

at her father's words, she glanced dismally down at her chest; the gashes were shallow and oozing. "I'm alright," her gaze flickered back towards the woman, adding, "thanks, raid. you alright?" her gaze traced the woman's face and the bloody crescent that cut across it, before her father's words had her glance to him once more.

"the earlier, the better. Adi and I ought to start scouting now - along with anyone else who wants to join us."  her gaze flickered too to raid, wondering if she was the type to scout. she was ready to leave as soon as possible - the plateau had become less of a haven and more of a risk.
