All Welcome
The light of the morning sun gleamed across the horizon, slowly rising over the snow caped mountains that forever towered proudly in the distance. It was a beautiful sight to behold and today, the brute found himself quietly admiring the sunrise as its warm glow gradually descended upon the cold world below. A brief moment passed and the brute looked away from the glistening peaks, averting his attention away from the pretty view and back to more important things, such as the borders he patrolled. With a duty to uphold, Sylvas began to move carefully along the western fringes of the territory, the mercenary stopping at the occasional tree or bush to urinate, leaving a warning to outsiders that these lands were claimed by the family of Morningside.

Family. He hadn't been much of a family member lately, this the man knew or rather thought, having kept himself away from the others to lurk in the shadows, forever marking the borders, day and night. Remaining elusive to those he held dear and even the new. Since the pack's ever expanding flux of members, Sylvas was aware that now, there were many faces within the ranks that he was yet to properly introduce himself to. Especially to the many that had stayed and had managed to rise in the ranks, one being a leader in paticular. He may know of their names, but other then their names - he didn't know much else about them – and this wasn't acceptable. Things had to change, he had to change. Sylvas had heard that his daughter, Sorrel and even his sister, Sybella had arrived at the borders and were living amongst the pack and had been for some time now. But still he had remained in the darkness, watching from the sidelines - but no longer could he linger in the background, remaining elusive to the rest of the growing family.

The brown hued male added his last mark to the nearest shrub, back paws quickly kicking at the dirt till the bulky man decided to turn, paws guiding him northward and in the direction of the rendezvous site. It was a place of meeting and a spot close to the heart of the territory, and surely where other members of the pack could be found. At least that's what Sylvas hoped as a messy tail thrashed behind him, his quick pace slowing into a walk as light pants escaped his tanned muzzle. The large and rather high mound could be seen just up ahead and Sylvas gradually ceased in his approach, allowing his golden eyes to glance around at the sun-kissed land.

The chilly wind sifted through the young brown she-wolf's fur. The sound of birds chirping in the tall trees flooded her ears as they occasionally twitched as she tried to listen for an animal that she could possibly make a meal of. She closes her eyes amber eyes and tries to concentrate on determining which direction a sound is coming from, luckily for her she hears a rabbit hopping through the leaves that laid on the floor. She creeps through the trees, listening to the crunching of the leaves, her body low to the earth floor as the rabbit now comes into her view. The rabbit turns its head and looks in both directions, little did the animal know that Sybella was slowly creeping her way closer. As soon as the animal was in range, the wolf sprints towards her prey, grabbing it between her powerful jaws until it's heart stops beating. The winds bring along a scent and Sybella drops the carcass.

The she-wolf decides to drop the Rabbit off at the cache and investigates the scent and by that, follow it to wherever it leads. To her dismay, she makes out the figure as a wolf. "Sylvas?" She asked, as her heart stopped as she did so.

He remained still as he surveyed the area, nostrils flaring as he inhaled the new and old scents that lingered in the crisp air, the male's head turning this way and that as he tried to follow each individual aroma, mentally taking note for the future, hat is until an almost unfamiliar voice called out to him, breaking the silence. Instantly, his bulky frame became tense as pointed ears twitched a top his lean skull. That voice. It was one he hadn't heard for years and slowly the mercenary forced himself to turn and face the wolf, amber eyes soon falling upon the form of his youngest sibling. Sylvas hadn't seen her since his departure into the wilds and as he looked at her, the couldn't help but feel another wave of guilt wash over him. The mercenary couldn't help but gawk at her, amber eyes blinking as he managed to eventually find his voice, ”Sy-bella?” He said curiously, head tilting as the brute decided to take a few steps closer.

Bushy tail swayed behind him as caramel ears flicked back to rest against his head, the male's pink tongue escaping his mouth to lick at his dry lips before speaking once more, ”I'm sorry I haven't been much of a brother to you.” He uttered, exhaling softly as his head lowered some. ”I should have at least visited, but I'm glad you've found Morningside.. and me.” He added, offering her a small smile and a gentle wag of his tail.

o yes family reunion yes yes

Sorrel's recovery had been slow and difficult, but she'd been making do. Her care regimen with @Pema and Forrest had seemed to work, albeit with some fair trial and error. Now that she was beginning to feel more like herself, Sorrel had been able to place enough distance between herself and @Kieran Adrien each day to visit the borders and allow him time alone to practice his own skills.

Since joining Morningside, Sorrel had seen her father once, and only for a few moments at that. So when she spotted his rugged brown pelt against the rich white of the blanketed ground, she couldn't help but charge at him with all of her bottled love. Her aunt stood nearby though her presence was the least of Sorrel's concern; she had her Daddy back, and that was all that mattered.

A small whimper came from the brown pelted female as she ran to her brother. Her tail swayed back and forth as she nudged him slightly, she had missed him terribly and Sybella was so glad to see him again. "All that matters is that we're here now, together." Well most of them, Sybella had gotten separated from Soryn on their journey from home.

Caramel ears swivelled a top the bulky brute's head as he caught the sound of paw-steps swiftly approaching. A slight frown crossing his features as his listened and before Sylvas could turn away from Syvella - to face the barreling wolf heading straight for him, came to receive an unexpected embrace. Torn ears arched forward upon impact and the large male's warm stare peered down to see his precious daughter, "Sorrel." He said softly, nose lowering to gently nuzzle at her cheek. He was overjoyed that she was safe, but most importantly that she was home.

A smile graced his muzzle as Sybella spoke, her words were true and he gave his sister a thankful nod of his head, "And now that we've all found each other, we stick together like families do." He said, tail wagging behind him as Sybella approached to nudge him.

He had caught Sorrel's scent heading off and away from the general area that he had been wandering within, and so with a curious flick of his ginger tail he found himself following. His sister was growing more independant and while of course he liked this, for not only did it give him more freedom but also meant she was improving. Kieran realised he rather liked being able to care for her. Perhaps it was the responsibility that the young hunter liked, or perhaps it was simply because she was his only sibling that he found himself enjoying it. Either way, it was better the faster she improved, and he was certain she was getting tired of being constantly watched over - that, he very much understood.

Coming upon the small group of gathered wolves, a gentle smile broke out across his face, and he approached with a glint in his eye. "Hey, wait up." The boy called, a little laugh spilling from his maw as he padded closer.

This feeling, it was foreign, but Sorrel liked it. Her body was initially tense with the entrance of her brother and aunt (as Sybella called herself; that was something that would need to be adjusted to), though she was eventually able to relax beneath the weight of the love and need between them. She sighed and pushed her nose further into her father's pelt, a soft whine escaping as she did. I missed you, she whispered, half whining the plea for his continued presence.

Sorrel turned to her brother and gave him the same greeting, then attempted a half-hearted version with Sybella. I missed you, she whispered again, this time with a more palpable weight to her words. She didn't want them to be separated again, not when they'd only come together so recently.

Her family was slowly coming back into her life and she was overjoyed. She herself never would have thought that it would happen so quickly and she thought that it would never happen. Sybella had her big brother back into her life as well as two new family members. Her brown tail swayed back and forth as she watched her family reunite.

Syl's eyes closed as he felt his daughter nuzzle her nose deeper into his fur. Ever since she had vanished, Sylvas had thought that he'd never get the chance to hug his little girl like this ever again and now, after all the agonising time spent apart - he finally could.

Torn ears arched forward as Sorrel's soft spoken words caused a whimper to escape the man. He fought back the tears that threatened to trail down his cheeks for a moment, "I - we missed you too." The mercenary replied in a choked whisper as the tears finally fell, "So much." He added before placing a gentle kiss to Sorrel's head.

A large smile formed across the warrior's muzzle as he noticed his son, Kieran approaching them and the man's golden gaze watched as his daughter went to greet her sibling. All of them, being together, here and now, overjoyed the brute and Sylvas knew that he couldn't lose them again, for he would be completely lost without his family.
Sorry for the poor post, I had to rush off to work! :(
