Backdated to the 15th-ish. @Shale, @Dauntless, @Grayday, @Dawn. Shale has informed Pema and Dauntless behind the scene alittle bit about the move, sickness, and intruders while they have been gone.

The trio had been traveling for about two to three days from Easthollow to Morningside. The trip was mainly made in haste and little talking took place, but during times of rest Shale had filled Pema and Dauntless in alittle bit about what had happened in Morningside during their absence. There had been sickness and intruders, and the pack was planning on moving. Pema had heard talk of moving far before all of this other stuff happened so it didn't surprise her too much. But she wondered what the state of the pack would be in. How many members were still sick or injured and needed Pema's medical assistance.

The whole way back Pema had kept a close eye on Dauntless, partically afraid that what had happened to Burr might very well happen to him. But they had made it home and he would have the protection of the pack, and soon plently of distance between him and any Blackfeather Woods wolf.

The came and crossed the border mid day and Pema sent out a howl to the whole pack about thier arrival. Asking Grayday and Dawn to meet them at the border so she could inform them about what happened on thier trip and why it had taken to long.

Aditya & Dawn & Easy are gone by the 15th, btw

It was paradoxical, how his heart both lightened and his stomach sank the closer they got to Morningside's borders. Even though homecomings were always in some part sweet, this one was bittersweet--and more bitter than sweet--with the news they had to deliver. They were solemn as they crossed the line, and Pema let loose a howl for Grayday and Dawn.

"Dawn left the plateau with Aditya and Easy to find us a new home several days ago," Shale informed her, when the echoes of her call had disintegrated into the cool air. "It'll be just Grayday here, as far as leaders go."

He hoped they had found success going north. Surely there must be an expanse of land somewhere where wars didn't brew, where tensions weren't high? The Teekons were small, but they weren't so small as to have packs constantly butting heads, right?

the information that shale offered them during their trip back to morningside was vague and dauntless was only paying half attention. despite that he knows burr's death isn't his fault directly, the truth is there was a heavy guilt weighing down on his shoulders. it makes each step feel sluggish and he debates with whether he is eager to be home or not because he's torn about it. they crossed the border at mid-day and dauntless couldn't help the sinking feeling that settles in the pit of his stomach as he expects to feel relief but doesn't. he dreads facing easy and telling her of what happened. he knew that out of them all she was the closest to burr ...but he undoubtedly felt responsible for telling her. it should be him and not anyone else, he believes.

dauntless is almost relieved to hear that easy wasn't presently in the territory but it was a double bladed sword: it meant he could put off the terrible news he had for her but ...it meant putting it off which meant he had to carry this around for a while longer. dauntless remains quiet and stays with the older duo though he wants nothing more to seek out lavender and talk about what happened while he was away with her.

Grayday was a bit late arriving, having had to navigate through the trees in order to reach his newly-returned packmates. He was overjoyed to have them all home, and when he reached them, the male made ample show of coating them all thoroughly with his scent. (This was achieved, of course, through much licking and nuzzling and dadding.)

"You were gone so long!" he complained, pretending to examine his son. "I hardly recognize you! Why, I'm sure you were a nice pale blue before you left, and now you've gone and turned completely invisible!"

This remark was meant humorously, but in all honesty, Grayday was shocked by the size his youngest son had achieved in his time away. What had Pema been feeding him?

She was a bit bumbed to hear that Easy and the rest of the trio wouldn't be there for the home comming. She wondered when they would be back. But that disappointment was short lived as Grayday came out to greet them. She greeted him with a smile and returned his affection, though he wouldn't be able to see her grin. It was good to see a familir, happy face. Easpecially from someone who didn't know what had happened to Burr. She hoped he wouldn't ask about it, even though she would have to tell him sooner rather then later. Just not now, not what they just got home.

"Oh, I missed home." she remarked as Day approached and greeted everyone. She heard his comment and couldn't help but giggle a bit. She felt bad about his waining vision, but was happy to know he was joking about it.
