All Welcome
So far she'd traveled north in a fairly straight line, remembering what they had told her about this area.  She knew of one or two places where she might find the ones she was looking for, but to be safe, had been stopping at packs along the way as well.  Couldn't hurt to be friendly, right?

Turns out, wrong.  Strangers could get bitey if they saw you nearby, especially if you made a very reasonable mistake and got too excited to stop at the border.  She'd never much gotten the whole 'oooh, stay outta my land, that side of the line' mentality.  Wasn't like she was stealing food.

Her parents had taught her carefully, but there was only so much a person could do.  Maia tended to run first, think later, and she had a few new scars now to show for it.

The yearling remembered this time, though, and her heart leapt when she saw the flat topped mountain her mother and father had both spoken on at times.  Her uncle(?)'s pack, and possibly Terance or Wraen's new home.

She remembered this time to mind the bounds, but didn't bother minding her manners too much.  "WRAEN!? HEY WRAEN, YOU HERE!?"  She bellowed, hopping slightly as she stared at the Caldera.  She woulda called for her brother, but her sister was clearer in memory; he'd left a long while ago, while she'd hung out a while with them as kids.
hey, motherfucker!

tegan was off in the territory doing-- well hey? what's it to you? you don't need to know, it's absolutely top secret tegan business, so hah, keep your nose out of it. point is, tegan was in town and actually near the borders, and he was miraculously around to hear the screaming that homegirl was doing.

usually, tegan preferred to ignore border calls because... i mean, what gives? it's not his job to handle that. but this one was particularly annoying and, super like, not professional. quite frankly, tegan dug the lack of respect for mannerisms (despite his ringing eardrums from all that god dang yelling) and so he set off to find out who was making all that racket.

"HEY!" tegan yelled in return, spotting the-- was that a girl making all that noise? god damn. he trotted over to her, giving her a look that was clearly bewildered. "what? what's up? what do you want? this is redhawks caldera and you're making some serious noise over here-- gonna have to ask you-- politely, cause mom says to be nice to girls-- to shut the fuck up... please." good border interception, tegan, towhee would be proud.

Someone was quick to respond... good!!! She was fairly patient when she needed to be, but hot damn if she wasn't rearin to meet up with the fam again.  But her face fell when she saw who came.

And he told her to shut up? Rude! "Well, I'd have walked in, but wolves tend to not like that much," she responded, somewhat exasperated.  Then she stopped, and tilted her heat at him.  "Sides, you aren't Wraen! Do you know where she is? Is she here?" Maybe this rude boy could give her some direction at least!  The bit about his mom was funny though.

hey! why was she being so hostile? this was his land... well, towhee's land, but his parents inherited it or some political thing he didn't understand or care to understand. what gives? "well no," tegan said with a roll of his eyes, "it's not yours, you can't just waltz in here and... whatever, no one named wraen lives here, you've got the wrong pack, pal." his tail waved. he wanted to call for towhee, cause he was bored, but she couldn't hear anything so... that was useless. whatever.

Ugh not again.  Her parents had told her about this one though! She'd been sure she'd find her here.  There'd been no scent, sure, and the wilds were a huge place.  But she had to be optimistic about every place or what the hell was she even doing?

She gave a light sigh, part groan, and sat.  "Well that blows.  You sure?"  She looked at the mountain again.  "This is Redbird Caldera, right?"

"i'm not stupid," tegan insisted, tail waving, "so uuuuuuuuuuuh yeah-huh, i'm positive. to both of those. and it's redhawk, not redbird, are you deaf?" he usually forgot that towhee was deaf, so the insult came easily for him. but that should've said something on her part, since even towhee understood words better than this girl-- and this girl probably wasn't even literally deaf!!

"if that's all you want you can go cause i don't know a wraen and i got better things to do than answer the same two questions over and over again," he said with a flick of his tail. ooooo, a burn on her intelligence, way to go tegan.

Honestly.... Maia hadn't really been listening when he'd first started talking.  She was way too disappointed by the fact that some boy was approaching to yell at her and it wasn't Wraen.  But that didn't mean she had to sit there and take this.

"What's wrong with you?  Did you sit on a bee or are you normally this cranky?" She asked, standing up to take a step away.  "Fine, I bet Wraen and Terance wouldn't be caught dead in this pack."  A little slow to pick up on her own social ineptitudes sometimes, she was honestly confused as to what his problem was, and it showed clearly in her tone as she spoke.  She turned to leave regardless.  Maybe she'd have more luck at the mountain place, whatever that was called.

((if he stops her feel free but if not she'll leave XD this was wonderful))

god what the fuck was wrong with this girl? if she'd been speaking that way to towhee she would've been mauled, and that was a fact. she was lucky that tegan was just too damn lazy to fuck her up (was that the issue here?). "whatever, try not to fall into a ravine," he yelled after her, unbothered by her comment-- because tegan was, in fact, always this cranky. but only at wolves that absolutely deserved it. he watched her off, debating if he should go chase her off, but ultimately decided that that would be way too much effort, and instead opted to go find @Towhee and tell her about his encounter. he'd make sure to stretch it a little bit and let his alpha know that he did actually chase her off. cause towhee would approve of that more, he thought.

bye bye ):
