All Welcome
aw!!

She trotted south in the early evening, and by the time sundown hit, she was standing on the top of a lovely set of cliffs. She sat down slowly, watching the water as the sun slipped behind it and lit it with fire and gold. Beautiful.

She let out a small sigh. They were on pause; not quite a crew, but almost, and their claim was getting stronger. It would be time soon.

After toiling through much snow and suffering many detours, Coast arrived at the sea without much fanfare. He had known for days he was close, smelling salt on the air, but the anticipation that had built over the last few suns faded quietly into silent relief once he finally set eyes on the ocean. His eyes had widened, and his heart swelled—finally!—before his success dissipated into the realization that he was still alone. Without purpose. Strewn into chaos like wasteful confetti. His eager grin morphed into a pout, and he slunk along the cliffs of the cape with thoughts of postponing his trip down to beach.

Something red caught his eye then, and when he focused on it he made out the figure of a burnt-autumn wolf with her gaze lost out to sea. Fleetingly, he thought about pushing her. Not so much thinking in terms of cruelty, but rather just acknowledging the fact that he could; that this was one of his options when considering her back to him and her supposed ignorance to his presence. But that wouldn't solve his loneliness problem, would it.

He made a noise to catch her attention, and wagged his tail slowly when he had it.

A noise behind her pulled her reluctantly from her thoughts, and she spun, eyes narrowed at who might be interrupting. She'd been having a lovely little fantasy of how her little project was going to pan out and he'd gone and paused it.  Rude.

"And what'd you want?" She asked the approaching male, who turned out to be quite the fine looking specimen.  If he talked as pretty as he looked, she might even feel bad for the introduction.

Coast, after recovering quickly from his surprise, greeted her accusing attitude with a sly and warming smile. "You," he confessed casually, the silver practically dripping from his tongue. "Or rather: to know you, if you want specifics. But if you had to ask, then I guess I'm not being forward enough." The rogue took a step closer, and another, meeting her shining eyes evenly while his sweeping tail readily graduated in height and tempo. Without an excess of banter, he sought to enter her immediate circle at a pace the red witch would allow.

I won't bite if you don't, he communicated with a shifty brow-dance; making it hard to discern how serious he was being, if at all. He knew it was hard to trust a face like his—as lovely and as terrible as it was—and he didn't shy away from this fact, or try to appear as anyone else to make his company feel better.

Smooth talker, this one.  Consider her properly abashed.  She took a small step sideways, now looking him over with an expression more akin to appraisal than irritation.

"Is that right? And what makes you think I should want to know you?" She asked, her tail twitching behind.  She was intrigued; but let that on too soon and the game was done.  His expression was playful, but she attempted to keep hers aloof... either he would take the invitation to spout his own assets, opening her up to being on the playfully ribbing upper hand, or he would take offense and depart.  Nah.  That seemed highly unlikely.

Coast didn't hide his amusement. He flopped forward and rolled to his shoulder within a wolfslength of her. He starting scooting, bit by bit, dragging himself innocently along the ground as he dirt-nuzzled closer. The Casanova grinned at her question. "Because if you're half as smart as you look, then you're already into me." He was fit, he was brave, he could take care of himself and was thereby qualified to provide—what more could a woman want? ...Love? Gross.

He did neither.  Rather than boast, he turned the phrase around, paying her a pretty compliment and continuing to prove himself an interesting talker at the very least.  She was digging it. But she wasn't about to straight up tell his cocky, smooth-talking ass that.

"That so?"  He'd scooted closer, and she took the opportunity to take a few steps sideways, circling a bit as if realllyy appraising the cargo here.  "Girl can't be too careful these days, what with all the ruffians roaming about.  But you wouldn't know a thing about that, would you?"  She pegged him a rogue straight off, from both manner and way of speech, and it was this that enticed her.  She didn't have a lot of patience for sap.
