All Welcome
Forward dated, when puppies can be outside the den. All are very, very welcome.

One step had changed little, brown loaf's known as Nunataq by others life quite a lot. Now that she knew that her world did not end at the den entrance, she was found peering out from the door-frame of her home every day. A strict "no" from her mom had deterred her from venturing further, but soon would come the time, when she would start to test the limits and push the borders in whichever way she wanted and liked to.

However, for now she was pretty content at just sitting and observing. Her gaze was still pretty foggy and she had to often squint to make out details, but having not experienced the world in any other - better - way, she was content for, what it was. And today she discovered that moving objects were easier to see and keep a focus on than the stand-still ones, which had a tendency to merge with the background.

This discovery was aided by a yellow butterfly that happened to land on the tip of Nunataq's nose. Perplexed, curious and amazed at the same time, she sat there and watched the tiny bug, who was in no hurry to leave.

lemme... test this lil man out....

marten was no extraordinary pup. in fact, he was quite ordinary in every way. he'd developed no quicker and no slower than he was predicted to, and nothing about him suggested he might grow up to be something extra special. no ma'am, no sir, not at all. marten was simply a small, pale fuzzball of a pup-- nothing more, nothing less.

his own baby-blue gaze had opened already, leaving him with a fuzzy-- but new!!-- view of the world around him. it was clouded and didn't fully make sense, but marten rather liked it. in fact, he very much liked it. of course, mom never let him far... but marten could sit at the mouth of his den and view the bokeh-styled terrain that panned out before him.

today, nunataq was there before he could settle himself in, so little marten had to waddle and topple forward to meet her at the entrance. a low puppy-like growl and yip accompanying him as he grew closer, alerting his sister to 'get outta the way!' and 'make room!'. though, perhaps his biggest accomplishment was sending the pretty yellow creature fluttering back into the air. and so when marten plopped himself beside nuna, he stared up in awe at the bug as she floated away-- so bright against the blue sky.

And then it left, because a very less graceful and definitely not airborne Marten appeared from behind of her. Nunataq watched the little, yellow bug disappear in the blur of what the rest of the world was to her now, and then turned to eye her brother. Had she been older, she would have looked annoyed and said something. Since she was little and her skills in making a variety of expressions was very limited, she looked just as dopey as before. Except for a gruff: "Hrmph." You would not be even able to tell that she felt any change in emotions at all.

She got up and stood on her shaky, unsteady legs and decided to take a step forward. She managed. Then another. She did it again. Then came the third... and this attempt went amiss, she lost her balance, tumbled and ended up lying on her back with all four feet wriggling in the air. A discontent - "Hrmph...eeeee..." - escaped from her lips and those, who are good at the language, would perfectly understand, what she had said. Not again...

after nunataq little marten followed, even after her little noises. marten could hard decipher what any kind of emotions were, she sounded same as ever, so he just let out a happy little chirp of a bark to announce his own mood. and then, oh no! down tumbled the dog-like pup and too clumsy to properly avoid her, marten followed suit, tripping over his sister in a similar fate. he was less perturbed by this, instead letting out a ripple of giggles and wiggles as he squirmed to position himself upright again, probably kicking nunataq in the process.

Falling on your back, when you are as disproprotionate in limbs and body as a fat beetle is bad enough. Even worse, when in such an utterly inconvenient position your own sibling trips and falls on you. "Umph," Nunataq huffed, when in the process of getting up, Marten kicked her in the ribs and other parts she could not name.

After a lot of angry wiggling and wriggling, Nuna got into the right position, aimed well and with the half-equipped set of baby-teeth bared, she tackled her brother. No one treated her like this and did not get punished accordingly. They play fought and sparred for a while longer and then fell asleep in a happy heap.
