The early morning song of sparrows joined by the continual tapping of a particularly obnoxious woodpecker roused the russet kru from her slumber, a groan spilling from her lips as she drug herself from her hollowed log. It took a solid ten minutes before the grogginess of sleep wore off, and when it finally did it was replaced with annoyance and aggravation. Her head drew upward until it felt like it was about to snap off, eyes scanning the trees for any sign of the pest that had woke her. Eventually she spotted the vibrant redheaded woodpecker perched on a branch looking extremely satisfied with it’s work, and Rose immediately made a mental note to ask around and see if anyone would be up for trying to kill her unwanted alarm clock.

Not wanting to deal with the bird any longer, mainly because she felt a headache coming on, the aspiring medic turned to herbs for an easy distraction. She sluggishly trudged her way through the redwoods, momentarily wondering if she should stop by Wildfire’s den to check and see if she needed anything in terms of food or medical care. Rose assumed the Fespira was already well cared for, but there was still some feeling of being in debt to the older woman after she’d stayed during the thunderstorm that night. But before Rose even had the chance to seriously consider stopping by, a change in the wind stopped her mid-stride.

The scent of heat itself was nothing new, both Portia and Heda having already gone through their cycles, but there was still some uniqueness to each of them and Tirgatao’s was no different. Rose was curious as to what exactly the scent was, I mean she had an idea, but having grown up with literally no one to educate her, she was often left in the dark when it came to certain topics others may think of as common sense. She considered her options for a moment and after some brief debating in her head, decides to seek out the Shouna

It takes her a while to finally locate the pale woman, but once she spots the white speck in the distance, Rose instantly picks up her pace to close the distance. She only knew Tirgatao from the time she temporarily lead while the war was going on, but other then that she’d only seen her in casual passing. “Hey” she calls out coolly, nose scrunching as the scent becomes heavy in the air. “What’s up with you?” she questions pryingly, interested in knowing what had come over the females of the cliffs. Was there something in the water or what?
