He had, unintentionally, set up shop at the lagoon on the island. There was plenty to keep him occupied here. In fact, he had been examining a few pesky crabs on the rocks when the sound of thunder rolled in the distance. Rokig tossed his head over his shoulder to look in the direction of the mainland. Things seemed fairly normal in that direction from what he could spot. No looming clouds or giant walls of rain headed this way.

Silver eyes focused on the water that laid before him. Perhaps it had come from somewhere out there. His tanned ears leaned forward with obvious interest as he waited to hear if another roll of thunder would rattle the skies.

To say she did not like the water was an inaccurate statement.  Certainly it was beautiful, the way it shimmered beneath the high summer sun.  It offered protection from the mainland.  Sometimes it even offered prey, but she had been too fearful thus far to brave the waters.

It was better said that she feared it.  She had seen the way that Sunflash had emerged from the sea, and wondered if it could swallow her or her friends.

The lagoon had such shallow water that she could see the bottom.  Today she had attempted to be a good soldier and brave her fears, but as thunder shattered her peace she bolted from the water, almost drooling with fear, and blindly darted into the rocks for makeshift shelter -- fight next to her newly recruited friend.

She turned on her heels and helped as he came into focus, tail curled under her as she crouched and shook.

He had not expected the masked female to appear before him. A frown formed on his features at the way she crouched and shook. It was obvious she was not enjoying the incoming storm. Protectively, he nudged her, almost using his body to shield her.

Come. Rokig spoke softly as he motioned for her to follow him. He would lead her back to the heart of the island where a better shelter from the oncoming storm could be found.
