It had been a prolonged journey that had guided them here. Where, exactly, they had no clue - they hadn't stopped to enquire, nor did they care. Two silhouettes, made black by elongated shadows, pacing swiftly across the land in search of a place to call home. Little conversation was made, but they felt calm within one another's familiar presence.

The sun was settling beyond the horizon as the pair strode through the foliage, streaks of vibrant orange painting the sky - it was a dazzling sight, and although he kept a stern face, Altair's eyes glimmered as he stopped to observe. The young, star-pelted man had witnessed dozens of sunsets before, and this one in particular was no more special than the last, but it was beautiful nonetheless. His sallow gaze travelled idly to Kalyca's features, noting how the shades of vermillion and yellow highlighted her face amongst the tangerine glow. A soft breath left his muzzle as he stared at her, but after another heartbeat he turned back to watch the forest road they travelled as it passed under his paws.

The weight of being in a foreign location was a feeling that he had grown familiar with, but it never failed to keep the resplendent Tsitak on his toes - in the secluded home they'd once known (even now, he thought it best not to dwell on the memory of the fallen kingdom), they had no issue with trecherous encounters of any sort, but out here in the wilderness, who knew what beasts lurked in the darkness?

"Do we keep walking, or settle for the night?" He mumbled, tail flicking gently at his hind.

As they stopped for a moment, the familiar but comfortable silence between them continued, both looking at the sky. She glanced at him, a feeling of pride going through her, a loving pride as she took in his features. He was the most handsome wolf she had come across, in her opinion. Her admiration for it had not always been there, though, as she at one point thought that he was as shallow as the others. Shifting her icy eyes back to the sky, she swiveled her ears  towards him as he spoke, his voice bringing a sense of peace to her heavy heart. She had yet to dwell on what had transpired, and she did not care to think about it in this present time either. A few steps, and she nuzzled him gently then spoke. Let us settle when the sun has gone to bed. This land..it is different, but has a certain charm. Her alto voice floated on the slight breeze that was ruffling her fur as a slight pain pricked her. There would never be a land like the one they had, but she would not dwell on it, instead looking across this new scenery, wondering what it had in store for the pair.

His mind had been ablaze with concerns about the location they had come upon, but still he was conscious the pair would require a place to settle in the future. However until they were aware of any particular dangers that could halt their path, he believed they were better off roaming without a pack to chain them to the ground, as it could cause many hinderances for them. They had trailed upon one pack on their way to this new land, but they had harnessed snapping jaws and vicious tongues - definitely not a place that Altair would allow his princess to reside.

To her statement the star-pelted man inclined his head, cadaverous eyes wandering back to the horizon. "I caught scent of rabbits a good few tail-lengths away - are you in need of a meal?" If he recieved an affirmative, he would head off and attempt to return with the corpse of the prey betwixt his jaws for them to feast upon (whether she wished to accompany him or not was her choice).
