All Welcome
Set a week after Sandpiper went poof.

He had waited too long. Far too long. In part because it took a while for him to muster the courage to defy the silver female's warning, and in part because he had lost all sense of time. The days bled into one another. It had been over a month since he had seen her when it had seemed like only a week, and her inland-bound trail was long since gone. He could scarcely find a trace of her scent, and even the most skilled tracker would not have been able to discern her path.

He returned to the bay defeated again, letting slip from his teeth a mackerel he had intended to take to her. It was left somewhere on the shore outside the territory. He hardly registered that he had even dropped it, too occupied was he by his morose thoughts.

"Piiiiiperrrrr!" Raptor sang out. His tone was soft, pleading, but loud enough to carry some distance. His heartbeat quickened. He had spent the past several hours attempting to locate her and had found no fresh scent anywhere. Where was she? Panic was starting to build. His chest felt tight and his stomach was sick. Did she run away? Did he do this? "PIPER!!!" He screeched, unable to hide the fear and tremor in his voice as it nearly cracked at the end. The sable wolf paced the shore frantically, long tongue lolling, saliva falling freely.
