He blinks up at her only when he feels a puff of hot air across his head and back, and as his stormy gaze rises to linger on the adult's raven muzzle, a tongue slips past her lips to sweep across his brow.
Amused, and with the tufted silver fur of his crown comically erect with saliva, the infant beamed toothlessly up at his newest companion.
