All Welcome
Youth and ignorance brought much peace to Svalinn as he and his diminished family adjusted to the settings of their newest abode. With every new thing to learn, every new place to see, and every new wolf to meet, he found the strife and listlessness from their journey before fading from his psyche. The puppy readily tackled the mounds of new information he received each day, and it was a blessed distraction from those they'd lost along the way.

He was fuller than he'd ever been as well, a fact contributing to his overall contentment with where they had finally been able to abandon their hopeless wandering. Svalinn burped just then, as if to testify to his full belly and immense satisfaction.

The boy was prone near the mouth of a small den he shared with @Caiaphas and @Raleska, distractedly exploring the bone-white of a rabbit's foot with his needling baby teeth. It was an overcast day, promising to rain on him, but he took no notice of the smells and air-shifts that forewarned his kind of inclement weather and he instead concentrated on gnawing the day away.

Anyone(s) please, but those referenced are  especially welcome :>

Unlike Svalinn, Blondine was hyper-aware of the weather shifts. Her day had been short and relatively uneventful, so she had gone to the cache and found a half-eaten carcass to bring back to the den as a peace offering for the day. Since joining, she hadn't heard much from Caiaphas and her pups, despite constantly lingering nearby.

Just outside of the den was a busy-bodied blonde who Blondine immediately recognized as Svalinn. With the storm that was coming, she thought that he ought to get inside, but what he did was really none of her business. That boy was his own person, and if he wanted to drench himself in summer rain, then so be it; hell, Blondine might have even found it within herself to dance with him.

Howdy, little one, she cooed after dropping the carcass and settling down beside him. What're you fiddling with there?

When Svalinn noticed Blondine approaching, he greeted her with the quick pit, pit, pits of his wiry tail whipping against the ground, but he couldn't be bothered to relinquish his chewtoy for a familiar face. If anything, this seemed to be a compliment to how comfortable he felt with her presence... still, that didn't mean he was about to let her have his bone. His gnawing became slightly more aggressive, as if he thought he could whittle it down to nothing before she could take it.

She asked after it, soliciting a whining growl from the toddler as he protested her attention to his thing. But that was also the same moment that he noticed her thing, which made him abandon his thing almost immediately.

The boy perked up, dropping the rabbit's foot and letting it roll from between his splayed forepaws as he turned his nose toward the carcass Blondine had brought up. "Diiiiiie," he squealed in his attempt at saying her name. "Mm, mhh, ME!" he further shouted, launching himself at the uncovered meat as he made to take her thing and make it his.

Seeing Svalinn's shifts in temperament amused Blondine. She watched through wide eyes as the boy begged for her meal, and although it had technically been meant for him, he'd have to ask a little nicer if he expected anything from Auntie Dee. Uh uh, she cooed, lifting her snout so that the rabbit was out of reach.

After a moment or two, Blondine's neck began to ache so she dropped the rabbit down and placed a firm paw over its head. Ask. Say please.

Svalinn's first strike was a bust; landing him in a crumpled heap atop Blondine's earthy paws as he squirmed awkwardly about in an effort to keep his eyes on the dangling prize. She demanded manners, but the gold little raptor had none to give. He whirled to his feet and went again for the rabbit, using every bit of his wiry body to catch even a slip of the baton she could easily keep from passing. His mouth always opened a fraction too late -- a delay that would be corrected with practice -- but he was not deterred: dodging forward with brave growls, fast stops, and a mouth too slow to keep up with his own movements.

They danced in several circles before Svalinn seemed to succumb to frustration. He stood back and moaned at Blondine, lamenting loudly of her unfairness and his confusion at her games. This lull was short-lived, as he forwent any talking in favor of brute force once more -- he dove forward again, this time intent on using her chest, shoulder, or whatever leverage he could, to reach what she kept from him.

I did some very milld PP, but lemme know if you minded!

Totally okay!!

While Blondine wasn't necessarily a known disciplinarian, she was known for her low tolerance for rude children. Svalinn was still young, but that didn't mean that he could do as he pleased without proper scolding. She watched through a slitted eye as the boy dove forward, landing a meaty bite on the space between her shoulder and chest.

Blondine winced and flexed her body a step backward, but she was quick to return to her original position standing even sturdier than before. Her tail rose and a low growl bubbled in the back of her throat, popping as she snapped at him. Please! she repeated, wondering if he'd be willing to comply to a more dominant figure.

Though the gilded bastard had not necessarily been bred with a disposition for entitlement, the predicament of his rearing had certainly dictated it. Svalinn was not a coddled child by any means, but being alone at the tit -- without competition -- had spoiled him, and his previously odd and frantic feeding schedules had turned this consumer greedy. On top of this, so far he had been given the leeway that is typical to give someone too young to understand consequence, and he took this to mean that his demands would always be met, even without the use of civility.

When Blondine continued to insist he behave and learn gentlemanly tact, the boy rebelled by calling on the only other resource he could think of. "MAAAAAAA!" he bellowed fiercely, howling a summon for the Kraken: @Caiaphas. Let their god settle this dispute!

Not afraid of puppy cries or the conflict that they could bring, Blondine rolled her eyes and laughed, settling back to watch the tiny Svalinn and wait for his savior's arrival. You won't get anywhere hollerin' like that, she scolded before deciding that it was best to let his anger simmer out on its own.

When Caiaphas did not show -- a sure sign that she was beginning to skin him of his ingrained dependencies -- Svalinn resolved to pouting. He plopped down with a donkey's grace and sat glaring at Blondine; his tail skittering back and forth along the ground in an uncertain wag that did a disservice to the ire and helplessness he felt in that moment.

Sitting proper now, with a groan and a sniff, he tipped his head sideways and twitched his ears towards her in a signal that he was finally prepared to listen to what she was saying.

At the end of the day: Svalinn learned a lesson about manners, and it was that he could do without them.
