Brynn watched as Merrit thought about the word 'day' and anything that might rhyme with it. Soon, he said a two words that both rhymed, and Brynn smiled encouragingly at him. She could see his wheels turning as he tried to come up with more words, and she enjoyed watching him think.

When it seemed he was having some trouble, he looked at her and asked if she knew any new words. She considered his question for a minute, trying to think of some other words for him. What about ray, clay, and stay? she offered with a warm smile. The words were easy enough but may not be something he had heard before.
