Engelhard ventured a bit away from Ironsea after having gone to Undersea with Sunny. Just to explore, at least that was one of the reasons...the other to see whom he could meet out here. Though, last he was near here, he had met Phocion again and met Cortland whom he had made awkward. Though he didn't feel bad now, it usually passed quick with him.

The wind called her east, first through the ruined half of a vast field. She picked her way among the lifeless desolation with a heavy heart. The burden upon the land struck her more deeply than any burden of her own. It was the far side that brought the spark to her veins again, drew intrigue to her gaze. It flourished in stark contrast to its razed western half, rolling plains painted verdant and freckled with the brightness of wildflowers.

She took in the bittersweet fragrance, noting with it hints of the scent of a stranger. Feeling social, she turned her paws towards the source. It took her little time to find him; another wolf with fur of flame, though she found him far less striking than Ceara Blackthorn. A chuff escaped her as she neared, ears pulling forward. She halted several paces from the stranger, scarlet eyes glittering, and regarded him in silence.

Engel found that he would come across someone on this day, seeing someone come his way as they chuffed in his direction. He turned, wagging his tail. "Hello there, a good day isn't it?" he asked. Perhaps just once, he'd have a casual conversation. Just once...he was already doubting himself as he thought over the many pick up lines to be used instinctively.
