All Welcome
Wilson is a few feet from the borders :)

It had been a quiet few days, and Wilson had begun to wonder if maybe she'd seen all that this place had to offer. It would have been quite disappointing, had this hunch been proven true, as she quite looked forward to exploring further into its depths. A pleasant surprise came some days after leaving the mountain; more borders, these ones clearly better maintained. A mischevious grin curled up onto Wilson's maw as she approached, sniffing some ways away from the border.

The leggy yearling was out making his rounds when a glimpse of pale fur caught his eye. He was almost certain he did not scent his littermate or father freshly here, he was immediately on the lookout--whoever they were, they pinged as unfamiliar, and with the guard here sharp, he did not suspect this had gone unnoticed long. Still.. on their hometurf, he was raised to default to suspicion first of all, and take no chances.

Confident enough to get the job done (hopefully), especially here at home over these paths, he quickly went to her and made himself known early on; he didn't see the need for a lurking approach, instead: "What are you doing here?" Jarilo asked sharply as he stopped right in front of her to sniff her way. The dark Ostrega was skipping pleasantries until he knew why some random had come here to loiter or whatever she had been up to. Instinctively he just didn't like it, but he was curious.

Startled by the abrupt interruption, Wilson took an urgent step back and lowered her belly to the ground in submission. It wasn't often that she was met with such outright aggression and dominance and she was quick to decide that she didn't like it one bit. There were so many other ways that she could have been approached, but this brute had chosen the rudest route that he could think of; thus far, this pack was her least favorite.

I was passing by, she muttered, slowly rising back to half-height. Her eyes darted continuously between the ground and the frame of the male in front of her, but she was more interested in getting out of his way and back on her way than asking any questions. I wasn't going to do anything. How could she? Compared to him, she was a pipsqueak, thin and short-legged with no more muscle than a rotted carcass.

Inwardly he gleaned his satisfaction when she shrunk back, down, and officially, the encounter was engaged. Jarilo's swung his tail at a slow metronome, though had let it drop marginally once the initial fuss was made of his arrival. He didn't usually wear it really up tall like that, and he did not advance any on her--only stayed planted where he was. The yearling let her keep the space she made between them, though he wasn't taking his eyes off her--rude or not. She still didn't spell out threat to him, not based on appearances or scents.. but this was home and his siblings were really good at being places they shouldn't, so this was what she was going to get for passing by here whether she liked it or not.

She said she wasn't going to do anything, but he didn't feel inclined to send her on her merry way quite so easily, not so long as she was still here where he could. "Just passing by? Not loitering?" he asked to confirm it for absolutely sure with his words slightly less clipped than before but still carrying that edge of suspicion. "You're heading somewhere, then? Not too many just end up over here without good reason so excuse me for thinking it's a little bit shady at a glance to find some random stranger hanging out by our stuff," he went on to say as he peered down at her.

With or without an answer, and to whatever her cause really was, he wasn't intending to let her stay long.
