All Welcome
Though he'd been stealthy in his other outings, right now he was definitely the opposite of that.  This particular kid happened to be running down a game trail with what might have been a very small sapling sticking out of his mouth.  It was maybe three feet long, and he wasn't holding it close to the middle -- the leafy end of the branch or whatever it was stuck out farther and was whipping against the plants along the side as he ran along.  Occasionally Akatosh uttered a bit of a cackle, stifled by what he was holding, as for whatever reason he found the noises kind of hilarious.

Hopefully nobody was thinking of hunting or anything along this path, a kids gotta make some noise!  He wasn't even sure where he was going to end up, Akatosh was far more focused on causing a localized ruckus.

"It went this way," he called out to @Akavir, who Viinturuth had recruited to assist him in catching a bird that had been evading him for the better part of an hour. Unbeknownst to him, it was a mere fledgling - a hatchling from late in the season that had emerged from its nest sooner than it should have. While its wings were supported by some adult feathers, they were not strong enough to support its first flight and as such, it scurried fearfully through the foliage.

Viinturuth and his darker brother continued to pursue it in their strengthened urge to hunt, though they lacked experience as to how. Whenever one of the boys got close enough to reach out, the little creature would cry out in despair or swiftly duck away to evade them. So just as they'd managed to herd it into a place where they might have a better chance of pouncing it, the clashing of nearby foliage distracted them enough to allow their prey to escape.

Defeated, the pallid Frostfur-Mayfair huffed a breath. "Ugh, he grumbled, motioning to Akavir to follow so they could investigate the noise together. Viin lifted his over-sized tufted ears as the familiar chime of their other brother's laughter rose and, quickening the pace, they barked with newfound cheer in attempt to gain Akatosh' attention.

He hadn't seen the bird.  Wherever it squeaked off to, it wasn't in front of the rampaging cinnamon youth.  Goofing off like this was pretty fun -- he'd learned more about the territory just by this kind of thing.  Okay, he wasn't seeing much zipping along tilt, but it was enough.  Akatosh wouldn't get lost!  Maybe.

But then, a bark!  His brothers calling out!  He skidded to a stop, spinning to face them.  A playful growl and he lashed the stick around, whipping it against the bushes once more.  It didn't sound as much like some kind of crazy monster crashing through the bushes now though.  Obviously much more distinct.  He paused, growled, then shook his head again, causing another rattle of foliage.  He didn't know if they were up for games or if he'd interrupted something.  With age came more independence, new stories.
