For @Tundra :)

He sat in silence, gaze of ice lingering on the little ripples of water within the lake. Darkness had not long surrended to the light - that morning light was scattered across the sky, illuminating the various dips and rises of the Flatlands as birds chirped their songs from the amber-coated trees. The soft glow of light turned the lake to liquid gold, and the soldier of night allowed a solemn exhale to release from the depths of his chest, watching his reflection shift with the flow of the water. His mind had much to think about, that much was true - but he found it far easier to prioritise certain things over others than most. It was one of the perks to the deeply buried coldness inside the young man's body.

His ashen tail flicked against his hind, ears tipping forward as a wave of irritation swept over him. It was too calm. Nothing of interest had occured within the Woods, and he'd not had the satisfaction of gaining a victim for quite some time. Some close calls, perhaps, but he misssed the taste of blood on his tongue, blood of his own kind. He was growing impatient, feeling the ravenous beast begin his climb back from the darkness of his heart - it would not be too much longer before he would be tempted by the body of another. Not that he did not feel temptations without the aid of the creature inside, no no, he would kill for sport if he so felt like it, but he did not need to tear flesh with his teeth when the beast was content to slumber.

The morning was quiet. How long would that last?

I will raise Hell.

it was quite odd how one could go through so much to abandon an old lifestyle, suffer severe trauma to escape and then feel...lost. when your whole life had revolved around adrenaline rushes, danger and reckless risk taking to suddenly being at peace left you oddly restless and well, frustrated? it made little sense how something that left her waking abruptly every single time she attempted letting sleep grace her also left her feeling oddly empty without it. the first while had been okay, having been quite content with drifting around from place to place but it was as if her mind was growing suspicious at the recent silence and left her with a near constant sense of foreboding that something was going to happen. in turn this left her edgy and so frustrated that she almost wished something would just happen so her mind was satisifed with her level of bad luck.

the day was very young, weak light bathing the uneven land and causing the dewy grass to sparkle quite magnificently and in the distance a large expanse of shimmering gold suggested a body of water. she was however quite unmoved by the scenery and simply changed her direction slightly to head towards the water to soothe the dry sensation tingling at the back of her throat. she moved with a silent grace, paws skimming the blades of grass- looking quite like a phantom drifting towards the lake edge.

she'd spotted the large brute sitting at its edge some time before she'd reached her destination having been coming from his left so depending on wether he'd turned his head he would have been able to watch her arrival, something she didn't really care about as long as she too was aware of them which in this case she obviously had been. appearance wise he was quite the opposite of her- much larger, as dark as she were light and interesting eyes appearing to be icy shards whilst hers deep and dark. she'd stop a decent bit away, making no effort to acknowledge his presence except for how two empty, unreadable orbs remained fixed on his form as she casually crouched before the water and let her tongue dip into the satisfying cool liquid.

should he think she was at complete ease he would obviously have then missed the bunched muscles under her thick pelt making it all too easy to propell herself up at a serpant-like speed as jaws would snap shut on his fragile throat with no intention of loosening until he was no longer a problem should he think to approach her in a threatening manner. despite these thoughts dancing through her mind her features would continue to remain quite like a blank canvas as she continued to drink- gaze not straying from him once.

He'd been content to relish in the silence, but it soon became evident that he was not the only one who had come upon the lake. She moved quietly, gracefully, with the elegance perhaps of a doe strolling through the undergrowth. After turning ever so slightly, Aries' ears tipped forward slowly atop his head, like a crown tilting on the skull of a prince - he watched her with his eyes of ice, another exhale falling from his lips. He supposed he could take a victim now, but it would be a shame to see the pretty girl's limbs torn from her body as his teeth so desired.

Her pelt, it reminded her almost of the wanderer he'd encountered in the woods. The one he helped to kidnap for the shadowed man. Oh, that had been a fun time - a sickly side of him missed the fear in her eyes, the silent pleas for help. She'd been one man's mate, another man's sister. It was always fun to meddle in the family of another, for a single loss caused them such great damage, as though they were fragile paper, damp and easily torn.

Her eyes were dark. The reaper watched her curiously as the girl's gaze lingered on his own even as she bent down to drink from the lake's water. They were a stark contrast of each other - this often seemed to be the case. Just like Nara, he pondered, though this stranger's eyes were so much darker. Intruiging. And she did not look away, so neither did he.

water dripped from her muzzle- shimmery droplets cascading down to cling at the pale fur of her chest as her salmon tongue slipped from the confines of her jaws and disturbed any water the had been residing on her muzzle. not once did she let her gaze flick from her company, wide orbs of total darkness clashing with those shards of ice. so different and yet...similar, both colour's expressing a coldness that you'd be wary of drowning in. her tongue would slip back into the confines of her mouth, jaws shutting with a satisfying snap as pearly fangs met.

the more she gazed at him the more familiar he seemed but she knew already that she'd never met this exact wolf, his presence simply brought back painful memories that she'd struggled so hard to lock away however aside from the slight clenching of her jaw no such thoughts were visible on the outside as her expression remained aloof. she'd be quick to deny should one ever ask but she was almost drawn to the brute. there was a silent deadliness to him and she found it almost bitterly amusing how things you would've thought had no affect on you from your past would come to taunt you on the oddest of occassions.

her gaze would simply harden at this realization, pushing her further into the confines of her mind in a subconcious act of defence. the breeze picked up slightly, tugging hopefully at the tips of her thick pelt as her head would tilt ever so slightly to the side. an almost lazed coolness had made itself at home upon her outer self as she'd take a few soft steps closer to the man- tail swishing slowly behind her as she'd once again stop, the space between them still there but considerably smaller than before. eventually she'd arch a brow as she allowed the silence to break "i've been told i've good looks before but i must say this is time first time i've left a brute quite so speechless" although the words suggested a teasing manner, her voice despite being soft as ever, had an icy tone to it and her wide eyes offered no warmth as she continued to watch.

Their gazes were locked for a significant amount of time, caught in some odd sense of familiarity, yet they were as close to strangers as could be. He'd never seen those eyes before, if he had he'd have remembered them - dark, almost warm but appearing blackened and cold. Emotionless, like himself. The soldier may have had his eyes upon her own, but he was acutely aware of any moves she made. One who let down his guard was sure to be stabbed in the back.

His ashen body appeared still, solemn, though beneath his pelt his muscles were tense, coiling like snakes ready to lunge into action at the slightest of movements. If her desire was to cause harm, he'd be ready for it. Besides... it would only give him greater pleasure to sink his teeth into her neck if she had been the first to make an attempt.

The icy orbs followed her movements, observing as she took slow and relaxed steps toward where the reaper himself sat - his tail flicked at his hind, but still he remained unmoving, like a predator awaiting the sudden dash of his prey before he sprung. Only once her lips parted to speak did his own curl into a half smirk, a hint of amusement flashing for a split second within his gaze. "I find silence speaks more than words."

her words managed to tempt a slight smirk onto the stoic man's jaws and was she just imagining it or did those shards of icy blue brighten with a quick spark of amusement? the corners of her own mouth would tilt upwards in a slight half-smirk at this but the coldness of her gaze gave it an almost sinister appearance. he spoke too, the words causing her to blink as she'd lift her shoulders in an effortless shrug. "perhaps" was all she returned with, leaning back on her haunches in another show of apparent ease although her body remained coiled like a spring. all too ready to spring into action and turn her small body into a weapon if needed.

she had come to realise that some really seemed to find a certain itimacy to silence- and although she was most certainly not a fan of those that tried to fill any moment of peace with pointless chatter she didn't get what wolves found so special about sitting beside another in complete silence. don't get her wrong or anything she tended to most definitely prefer it, never being one for small talk she just didn't find anything magical about it.

as the sky continued to succumb to the piercing light of day, the shadows retreated further across the lands as the sun grew dominant in its climb and the light finally travelled to her face- golden rays hitting her with an intensity that lit dark orbs to a much warmer hazel. and yet it would just look wrong, eyes of such a colour would be expected to be filled with a gentle warmth and yet somehow tundra managed to keep them as cold and pitless as ever. the restless anticipation that had chased her as far as the lake still writhed under her skin, seeming to buzz with an even stronger intensity in the presence of the brute and perhaps that's why she remained where she was- piercing gaze continuing to meet his with an intensity that could be made out to be challenging. plus, if her nose was correct which it usually was- he was from a pack and not one she'd come across yet and her current plan was to gather as much information on teekon as she could.
pretty sure he was still a part of bfw when this started? if not i can change it! also rlly unhappy with this post but sure

Yes he was :) Also, the post was great!

The beams of soft light poured across the land like rivers of gold, warming the back of the steel soldier as his eyes followed the few moves of the strange girl. The previous grey of the sky had evaporated like desert rain, replaced with a soft pale blue - browning leaves, too, were scattered around like droplets of dew in the early morning, and if he could feel the tranquility that most others would at this time of day, perhaps his lips would have curved in a smile.

Her eyes were most curious of all. Still the Svartell watched, staring as though foraging for some flicker of warmth that could not be spotted from the surface - alas, he returned empty-handed, but it only intruiged him more. Eyes of a deep, hazel brown usually appeared warm and inviting, like a steaming mug of hot chocolate on a chill winter's evening, but these eyes were as cold as snow. As cold as his own. They met his as if in challenge, staring him down. He did not avert his gaze despite this, only continuing to survey with hidden interest. Rising to the challenge, perhaps, whatever it would be.

After a few heartbeats, he took but a slow step forward, eyes locked with hers, unblinking. Now was a question that had wriggled from the depths of his mind - if he took that step forward, would she run? Would she flee, fight, or remain as still as before?

creamy hues scattered throughout her otherwise pale pelt catch the ever brightening light like specks of gold as she relishes in the pleasing warmth it casts over her as the sun claws its way up into the baby blue sky with an endless supply of determination. she inhales sharply, jaw clenching ever so slightly as the dangerously close claws of drowsiness reach out from the back of a mind plagued by exhaustion and she resists the sudden urge to plunge her head into the icy coldness of the waters by her side to chase back any of the fog trying to get in her way.

her gaze remains steady- the shifting light giving her an almost eerie expression with one eye shadowed and appearing jet black whilst the other continuing to catch the rays and glow a soft hazel. eyes of ice continued to pierce into her, the large’s brute searching gaze unmistakably surveying her but refusing to give anything up and she was oddly pleased at this- finding it almost refreshing to come across another being so..well she supposed should she listen to the whispers of others the word strange might fit but she much preferred interesting. for maybe he was right with his mention of silence speaking more than words for the two had only exchanged a single sentence and yet he stood out to her more than anyone else had managed to upon her finding these lands. she was genuinely intrigued by him, something the pale woman was extremely unfamiliar with usually trying to spend as little time in the presence of another and only ever doing so if it would be of some purpose to her. but this male whom she didn’t even have a name to call him by, his whole aura seemed to draw her in.

he’d step forward and siding the slightest narrowing of her gaze her expression would remain as stoney as ever. she was surprised however as her heart beat picked up slightly at its own accord, causing the blood pumping through her veins to hum. almost subconsciously she’d step forward herself so that there were mere centimetres between them. up close he was so much larger but she remained undaunted, very aware of how close her jaws were to the fragile skin of his throat and she’d run her salmon coloured tongue slowly over pearly fangs as dagger like eyes continued to bear into his, continuing to receive nothing from his steely eyes but a reflection of herself gazing coolly back at her. he smelt of trees which surprised her considering the general flatness of the area around them and felt a slight longing deep within at the thought of such forested terrain. their breaths mingled in the warming morning air as the silence pressed down on them and she waited.

There was a thickening atmopshere between them as they stood in silence, tongues tied and lips sealed - he could almost hear the blood pumping through her veins, the quickening steps of her heart as it beat against her chest. A rush of exhileration had flooded his own limbs and caused a flicker of hungry darkness to consume his gaze as she stepped forward to meet his position, for he had not experienced such a wave of burning... what was it? He had no word for the emotion, for his heart was as cold as his eyes, and intimacy was something the soldier knew very little of. Desire? Passion? They seemed to fit, and yet he could not place them correctly. This girl... what spell had she cast over him? What had she done, in the soft exhales of her breath, to bring this man to the brink of confusion?

She had not run. His gaze was trained upon her own, peering down to watch as her tongue swept silkily over her fangs before coming to rest behind the walls of her muzzle. He was all too aware of their closeness, and he knew instinctively that if he had moved but a fraction forward his incisors could pierce her skin and blood would pool into the cavern of his mouth, rolling off his own tongue; he didn't. Instead he drank in her scent, perhaps greedily, and allowed it to sweep across his mind like the tender brush of a feather. She did not fear him, and in the frozen barriers upon the surface of her eyes, it was as though a mirror had been turned to reflect an image of himself back, an occurance that had captured the reaper entirely.

How far could he go before he was met with the sharp end of her teeth? His desires were motivated by her distinct lack of fear, an urging deep in his bones. His neck craned forward, cold, leathery nose leaning in to stroke across the side of her neck would she allow it - yes, he was testing her. Within the depths of his chest, the Svartell felt a dark curiousity continue to rise, like the dangerously slow flicker of a candle in the night, and he wondered silently what thoughts were burning up into her mind.

the air between them was a living organism, it shifted thickly and seemed to almost vibrate as if hooked to an electrical current. the blank icyness she'd grown acustomed to had shifted ever so slightly- seeming to darken as if a shadow had passed over his gaze and although there was still nothing to read in those depths they'd taken on an almost predatory look to them and yet it did little to sway her as her paws remained rooted firmly to the dew dropped grass beneath. how to explain exactly what was happening or what she felt she did not know. for the fact she was feeling at all was so odd an occurance to attempt to understand it was as near to impossible as one could get. she could feel him? although technically he had yet to make any physical contact she could feel his presence pressing down on her, feel the giddy blood thrumming throug his veins. for the first time perhaps ever (or realistically since she'd been pushed to being what she was now although the time before that she tended to treat as nonexistent for any memories were indeed blurred) she almost struggled to keep the unaffected coolness of her gaze from faltering.

she continued to watch in a stoic manner despite the unfamiliar pattern the organ in her chest bet as the dark man inhaled her scent. she could swear she could feel him drinking it in, stripping it from her whilst she stood and let him. why was she letting him? she continued to seek his gaze despite only seeing herself- the eyes of her reflection mirroring the emptiness of the eyes it gazed out from. of course he was not finished, for this was not the type of wolf who wouldn't push something to the utter brink it seemed. this time she felt him, really felt him in the complete physical sense as he leaned forward and brushed his cool leathery nose along her neck.

her breath would catch -fucking catch- at the unexpectedness of the movement and her jaw would clench with frustration at the first show of emotion to break surface. why was she allowing this? why did she want to? she lifted her head slightly, therefore exposing more of her neck to the dark stranger before her. somewhere deep within a flame of unease had lit but it was too weak to pierce the strange fog that had come over. she felt drugged, intoxicated- her thoughts slurred and it was something the soldier had never felt before. she was a weapon, her body- her mind. she was the one who rolled her eyes- pitied those that let emotion run and in turn ruin their lives so what was she doing right now? but the adrenaline seemed to hum louder than these angered thoughts as she tilted her head to the side so that her own nose could brush against his soft pelt as she inhaled deeply. to a passerby it would seem as if the two were almost embracing but it was much more like a battle of wills, she wasn't going to let him scare her off.

She was not the only one to feel intoxicated, mind hazy, filled with clouds as their breath amalgamated in the air. One part of the stoic man was mildly pleased that she had not fled from his presence, as though the girl was caught in a tight web strung from his toes, and yet another part of him was wary - perhaps it was not truly he who controlled the net, but she. Perhaps the soldier himself was ensared, wrapped in the laces of her creation. He was dazed, confused, but he refused to allow such an expression to pass over his features.

The Svartell sensed her breath catch in her throat, he saw the tight clench of her jaw and resisted the urge to permit his lips to curl up again in a smirk; her cold demeanor was beginning to crack, though in the depths of his stomach he could almost feel the unease slithering up like the caress of a snake, for she was not the only one to be slipping. The slow exhale of his breath would tickle down the back of her neck, and the surface of his skin almost shivered at her touch - what was she doing?

He felt a deep rumble grow deep within his chest, but it would not slip from his jaws, simply reverberate from inside like the grumbling of a volcano, or the echo of thunder as it ripped through the sky. A challenge she met him with, and one he would accept. While the adrenaline continued to course through his veins, the reaper prowled closer until the fur lining their chests were touching, and his muzzle pressed into her back. His teeth lightly traced the dip between her shoulder blades, icy gaze flickering back to gauge her reaction to his movements - he wanted to see her break beneath his touch.

it was like some strange kind of slow dance, instincts seeming to guide their bodies whilst their minds stumbled blindly through hazy fogs of confusion. yet they moved as if in sync, entwining breaths prancing around each other in the small buzzing space of air remaining between the two. she'd had slight concerns somewhere in the far corners of her slurred mind that she was behaving like nothing more than a rabbit ensnared in his trap but she was growing more certain that neither actually had control of the other. it was much more like the two had stumbled deep into a web and with each struggle or drop of uncertainty the web simply drew tighter in return, drawing them closer.

although he gave nothing up externally, flinty eyes as void as ever perhaps much like her own doll orbs- she could feel his being reacting. admittedly not as obvious as her own previous stumble but she could feel a deep throaty rumble in his chest at her own forwardness, hear the beast he refused to let loose as she ran her muzzle along the side of his neck with a slow precision. although a lot more prepared this time around- his bold movement to completely close the space between them still sent a jolt to the system. however this time she remained strictly composed, internal reactions having been chased back in line behind her closed off expression. she was never the one to break.

her skin inevitably prickled under his almost painfully light touch as the tips of his teeth traced along the small of her shoulders. never had she been pushed quite so far out of her comfort zone- she was built to be a soldier. she was literally programmed to reject and retaliate to anything out of the ordinary. it was as if this had gone so far the other way that it had broken the odd coding of her brain, it had literally seemed to shut her down. now it seemed some much more animalistic instinct had taken over- she could feel his gaze continuing to flick her way with every movement he made. constantly observing and judging, ready to pick up on the slightest of slip ups but there was perhaps a wariness admist his seemingly cool movements. if she had to guess she'd certainly say this was not the norm for the stoic brute either, his movements too calculated much like how she'd approach a situation to be one to give into the mere instincts of nature and..(emotion?..) on a regular basis.

her mind had seemed to settle into an almost icy calmness although her heart still beat faster than its usual state as she pushed her own muzzle against the delicate skin of his throat, the oddest feeling coming over her at warmth of the delicate area- the flutter of his pulse strong against the coldness of her leathery nose. here the two stood in the oddest little embrace of sorts, both although appearing to be in an intimate position, also holding the very power to end the other's life with the slightest of movements. the feeling twisting in the depths of her stomach like an impatient writhing snake was almost like a hunger of sorts. her body was like a coiled spring and for once she was slightly uncertain as to whether it would loosen or snap.

It was something deep in his heart, where it should have been frozen and stiff - his instincts, primal and raw, they continued to drive the soldier on in this battle of wits. Neither would back down, neither would submit to the icy gaze of the other and it was this that kept them bound; he could feel her body beneath his incisors, but so too could he feel the leathery surface of her own nose pressing onto the skin of his neck. Both could end the other's life, in this dangerous dance, but neither made the move. They were both waiting for something that would not come.

It was infuriating that the she-wolf would not bend under his touch, as though no fear coursed through her veins at the beast's presence despite his displays. Part of him desired to push her to the ground and show his fangs at a closer proximity, so she could feel the hot breath billow out of his muzzle like the smoke of a ravenous dragon but he was distinctly aware of her own jaws, prepared to latch around his throat. He was not frightened of her, no, but he would not be the one to break. He would not shatter at her doing, collapsing into pieces of broken glass at her paws - no, never. She would snap beneath him, submit to his will, it was the only outcome he could envision within his mind.

"Don't play with me," The whisper slithered from his lips with the sinister hiss of a snake, so terribly close to her ear, though beneath the surface it was laced with a desire - of what, it would not be spoken. Even Aries himself was unsure, but this girl was playing a dangerous game, and it was one he intended fully to win.

what the fuck was happening to her?

everything that was happening here went completely against everything she prided herself on being. here was the soldier that remained unaffected by everything, a robot of destruction- every movement calculated and planned. she tells herself she's going to win whatever the fuck was happening here- that she will not break but had she not already broken? had they both not already unknowingly broke by giving into the primal instinct that pushed them together against their better judgment?

however she remains fixated on this little 'game', the hunger of the snake writhing around the pit of her stomach driving her forward despite the protestant screaming of her abandoned mind. her lip curls back slightly to reveal pearly fangs as they trace along the temptingly delicate skin of his throat, teeth occasionally coming together to pinch and nip slightly- completely succumbed now to whatever had seemed to override her actual sensible, working brain as she pushed temptingly at his limits. she wanted to know just how much he'd let her away with before he'd snap for she was certain he would. he may be physically larger and stronger than her but it was quite obvious who was the predator between a snake and a deer and although a deer would certainly not describe her company she still felt confident in her abilities as the snake.

her skin still prickled under his touch and she could feel how tense his form remained- as if he were fighting everything in his will to restrain himself. but restrain him from doing what exactly? everything about the brute had become purely predatory, but she was not his prey and she wanted to remind him of that. she'd stretch upward-nipping away along at his neck but with a slight grunt she'd pull at his skin in a rougher manner- this time intending on reminding him that she was no toy and hoping to break the delicate skin and draw blood.

his voice alone managed to set the nerves under his hot breath prickling away as she shivered very lightly- ears leaning back as if to protect themself from the hiss slipping from such dangerously close jaws. somewhere faint warning bells went off but it was so far away and another being that had taken over the control panel of her vessel would have her whispering back "i do what i want" maybe not a particularly cleverly crafted string of words but speech was definitely not the most important form of communication right now. her words had trailed off into a throaty growl rumbling in the back of her throat but she didn't let it break surface as she felt herself smile slightly against his /hopefully/ faintly bleeding neck where her teeth had made their little punctures, it seemed she'd completely lost herself to the adrenaline coursing strongly through her veins. she was merely a drug addict giddily drinking in her drug, however one part of her mind remained completely set on one thing. she would not let him win this, she would beat him even if in reality she had no clue what winning even meant anymore.

Sorry for the wait! <3

He felt her grip tighten on the skin of his throat, incisors tugging and driving with greater force to puncture the surface - she suceeded, but he did not shift his position, only watched her movements with careful precision. He felt another rumble build up behind his jaws, a miniscule stream of red trickling down his neck, but he would not flee her presence; he would not let her feel as though she had won. Ironically, perhaps they had both lost, submitting to the insincts that drove them together, but the reaper failed to acknowledge it. He never lost.

"I do what I want."

Maybe he was amused, maybe he was angry, even impressed - the line was blurred, and he could not distinguish truly how he felt about the bold statement, however much he dared to disagree. She was testing his patience, but he did not rush to pin her down beneath his grip; she was luring the beast out, the one who desired only to consume, to take and relish in the feelings of success, of satisfaction, the satisfaction that was rarely reached. "We will see~"

Smoky breath slithered from parted lips, and his jaws wove around the skin of her scruff - the svartell was rough with the gesture, but somehow painfully slow, as though teasing. As though he was tempting, just as she was tempting him. Two could play at such a thing, and in this dangerous dance he would rise up to meet her challange no matter the demand. He would begin to apply pressure in hopes of gently forcing her down, or meeting whatever strength she used to fight against his touch; he was too deep now, too lost in the primal desire entangling with his sense of control.

He wanted her. Though what that meant, he didn't know - He didn't like not knowing.

if you go back...let's say thousands of years ago, you'd find wolves had not evolved quite as far as they had today. the primal instincts that tended to threaten to over take during the thrill of the hunt, in a fight to the death -you name it- was what completely ruled them. they didn't speak to each other, communicated simply with grunts and signals and would literally go into some kind of frenzy at the faintest whiff of blood.

she had to admit, she felt no different from their ancestors now as she felt the slow drip of his metallic blood drop onto her salmony tongue. it sent her mind spiralling completely out of her desperate clutch, her breathing growing more rugged and franctic- but for what? The rumbles threatening to break surface deep  within his bleeding throat grew more intense, giving her the faint knowledge that she was on the verge of something. what it was she of course had no fucking clue and whether it was actually something she should want to accomplish grew shadier still. and yet she could not stop herself- continuing to push at the boundaries almost giddily. a word that had never been used to describe the soldier.

it was almost funny really, how instincts were supposedly implanted there to drive them forward and keep them alive and yet it was those very controls that had driven her right into this potentially dangerous web of a situation. with each fainter struggle of her mind it seemed the web just wound closer, trapping her against this man and he against her. it was if she were hooked to an electrical current, each careful moment always assisted with a buzzing shakiness that begged her to let go of such precise movements and give in..let go of all control and just...just what? it was growing frustrating how her mind seemed only able to parrot back unanswerable questions and in turn seemed to help aid this darker primal instinct into shutting it up. if she were in a movie now she'd have two little figures perched on her shoulders- the weakening little angel trying to whisper in her ear to awaken the common sense that lay abandoned and dead somewhere too far to reach. the little devil on the other side would appear as strong as ever as it continued to push her wordlessly into this little dance with its stupid cocky grin.

the words hissing from his oh so close jaws penetrated her ears with ease despite how they lay flat against her head and each syllable left a shiver running down her spine as if each word physically pricked her. so when his jaws found themselves fastening to the back of her neck her body felt like it was on fucking fire. perhaps he was the electrical current she was hooked to and now she was close to over loading and exploding, taking out anything nearby with her. despite the dull ache where nerves tried to warn her of the disturbance, the painful exhileration flowing through her veins was so much stronger. as he applied pressure she resisted but not as much as she could /should/. her heart bet so hard against her chest she could swear it was going to break free as a soft growl slipped between pearly fangs.

yet she was quite suddenly hit by a memory in a desperate last move of her weakly fighting mind. for last time she'd felt so out of control she'd....she squeezed her eyes shut only to find that made it worse- the images more intense. so many bodies and so much fucking blood, suddenly the metallic taste in her own mouth tasted aboslutely sickening and it was whilst clinging to that memory she felt her mind grow stronger with its success and quite suddenly an angered thought rose to the surface. 'what the fuck am i doing?" it was with that simple question that she tore free- not caring for the tearing sensation at the back of her neck as she pulled herself away from him- breaking the contact.

somehow the action both left her feeling a dizzy confusion alongside an increasing strength for she'd been wrong the whole time hadn't she. she'd spent the whole time thinking winning meant lasting the longest but had that just been an excuse to keep playing- wasn't winning actually being the one with the power to break free of the drug that had intoxicated them both? perhaps not to him but she felt confident in her decision as she stood tall despite the undeniable weakness in her heavy limbs as the adrenaline that had fueled her took its leave. the back of her neck surely stung now but it wasn't hard to ignore- she'd endured much worse- and she simply kept her dark eyes fixed wordlessly on the man.

she had to admit- there was still something flickering uneasily in the depths of her stomach at the sight of him, something she certainly could not explain and chose to do everything in her power to ignore it as dark doll-eyes meet his icy gaze challengingly- creamy muzzle still stained red where his blood had stained the pure fur. it was at this that she'd turn wordlessly and depart with movements as phantom like as those she'd arrived with- she was pretty sure he wouldn't try to follow but her ears remained tilted back to listen for any movements just in case. for if this had taught her anything it was to definitely expect the unexpected.

and even as she moved she was aware of one thing- that although she knew nothing about him not even a name, she was most definitely not going to forget him as much as part of her would like to.
oh my sorry for the length! this will be an attempted exit unless aries tries to stop her so you can decide with your next post! definitely will be down for another thread between them at some point c:

Though he was an icy soldier, so stiffened and sworn to his duties, the feeling of letting go and embracing the primal instincts that tore through his chest felt undeniably good - like the taste of something piquant, something you rarely got to taste and when it came upon your tongue you savoured each bite until there was nothing left. Hungry. The reaper was esurient, he wanted more, and it felt good to hold her beneath his jaws, to feel her very life in his grip; life was as fragile as paper, and he felt powerful to hold it between his teeth like this.

...and for some reason, it felt even better when it was this girl. Why, he had yet to conclude, but he could only guess - perhaps it was simply her nature, the defiance that had challenged him in a way few dared. He had no doubts that if they were to switch positions, he would not even have minded so much; a concept he'd never before thought he could adhere to. It sent him into a frenzy, and they moved as though drugged, intoxicated, as though they had both become caught in the same trap, unable to break free.

At least he had thought, until suddenly she was no longer at his mercy. Aries felt a coldness grow and spread across his body, and it was a chill that returned him to his own thoughts, his own motives - he felt like himself again, but it was not entirely welcome. Though he had accepted his solemnity and demeanor long ago, he did not feel alive. Tundra's presence had brought him something new entirely, something he'd never quite experienced before (remnants of it still pumped through his veins and thuddered his heart), and for that it would remain unforgotten, a new memory to linger in the back of his skull as he pondered and schemed. She would remain there until they met again.

And they would, he knew. The Svartell's gaze of ice bore into her own, those pools of deep chocolate, the eyes of both warm and cold - the corners of his lips twitched upward in a half smirk, a knowing glint in his eyes that spoke of mystery and shadows. She may have thought her shattering of the web that had kept them entangled would provide her with a victory, but Aries knew their game was far from over.

He let her go... because he knew that would not be the last time they set eyes upon one another.
