Speedy had decided to make another trip to this side of the mountains. Maybe she would check on Aditya and see how he was doing. When she reached the place she had last met the nice male, her plans abruptly changed because she picked up the scent of Siarut, and well, she had to see if she could find him. The last time they had met, he told her he was leaving to start his own pack. Had she somehow found her way close to wherever his new home was?

Her mind made up, she followed her friend's scent until she came to a river. She scanned the area and saw some mountains in the distance but not much else aside from the forest that started on the other side of the river. Shrugging, she decided she was thirsty and lowered her muzzle to the water to take a drink. The water was freezing, and she shivered a little at the uncomfortable feeling as she lifted her head from the water to take another look around. She was pretty sure his scent ended here, so she wasn't sure what to do next except explore the area for a little bit. Maybe she would get lucky and pick up another trail.

It was a nice day out, and the birds had yet to fly south. He could see they were getting there, but the newest fledglings were still learning how to fly. Slowly the man dipped his paws in the freezing water, walking along the edge of the river. The sun was blaring down, but he relished in the coolness of the glacier melt-water. Dipping his head he lapped at the water, quenching his thirst.

Sia was just outside the territory, but he was close enough. Turning to look at another pair of birds sitting on a branch, the ice bear caught sight of a wolf off in the distance. An array of chocolate browns petering out into a white underbelly. A smile came slowly to his lips as he walked toward her. Never leaving the water, he gave a chuff as he got closer.

It turned out she didn't have to try and track Siarut down. A chuff reached her ears not long after she had finished drinking, and she turned to see the large, white form of her friend wading through the river towards her.

She wagged her tail excitedly and grinned at him. Hey, you, she greeted from the water's edge. I hope you don't expect me to come in that freezing water with you, she added, raising an eyebrow. Hell no would she swim in that water; not even for Siarut. She hated swimming and she hated being cold, and this river combined both of those things.

He could stop the chuckle that surfaced, as he shook his head. "No Speedy, I know you to well." A rough shake prevented the annoying water droplets from making a slow descent to his sensitive skin. He couldn't help it if some water happened to make its way in the woman's direction.

"Speedy! How have you been?" He was eager to hear of her exploits, surely a wander like herself must have some interesting stories to tell.

Speedy glared at her friend a little as some of the cold water droplets landed on her face, and she shook out her coat a little dramatically. He asked how she had been, and she wagged her tail. I've been pretty good, she answered. Still traveling around a bunch. She smiled at Siarut, then and closed the distance between them to nuzzle his neck in greeting. she didn't even care than his fur was wet. How have you been? she asked next, stepping back a little to meet his spring gaze. How is your pack? she added, still smiling at her friend.

He wasn't surprised to hear that his friend was still travelling the Wilds, the free spirit that she was. He was glad to hear that she was doing well, that the world hadn't crushed her kindness. "I am well thank you." For the moment, the universe had a way of throwing your words back at you when you least suspected. At this moment, Siarut had no idea what the future would hold. Only that today was beautiful, and his life was settled. "We are doing very well, the snow has started already." Sia knew she wouldn't like that, the warm blooded lady that she was.

"Any exciting stories to tell?" Surly, she had some cool stories to recount to an old friend.
