Rue's pack membership is still up in the air so if we can let's keep it vague as to whether she's part of BDP for now. But tbh it seems like she's going to join unless like.. some random shit really hits the fan. Open to anyone, new packmates(and/or neighbors?) especially welcome.
It had been a week since Ruenna had settled into her accomodations on (around? near?) Blacktail Deer Plateau, and she was feeling confident with her knowledge of the serene pine and birch forest that Liri and Kavik's followers called home. Rue's intention this morning was to survey the plaeau from a different, more vertical angle, and perhaps learn a little more about the surrounding territories.
Her first trip through the mountains had been before she met Liri; she had been exhausted an travel-worn, with muscles atropied from weeks of meager caloric intake. It had been a difficult and dangerous endeavor motived by survival, and Rue was lucky to have made it to the flatlands without injuring herself.
Today's trip was quite the opposite. Rue was well-fed, rested, and finally feeling confident enough in her health to venture more than an hour or so away from her resource stores. The trip was motivated by curiosity, as were many of Rue's pursuits when she wasn't trying to meet the basic requirements of survival.
The footpath she had chosen was growing more narrow as Rue travelled up the cliff face, but Rue was being careful with her pawsteps, as always. She was completely in the moment, relishing the newfound strength in the limbs that propelled her upwards. She delighted in the twinge of autumn that could be felt in the afternoon breeze and in the occasional bursts of sulight that found their way through partly-cloudy skies.
